And you think without that executive order someone would be flying a rainbow flag at the white house while trump is president? They would obviously immediately be fire if they did. That EO is a complete ridiculous waste of time.

It certainly could be legal if it is part of a larger business he owns and he employs some minimum number of Thais.

Need to get a Thai passport certified
Phillip9 replied to JohnOFphon's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
According to the IRS website there are agents in Thailand that can help you get an ITIN. It sounds like you take the original passport to them. See the agents abroad at the bottom of this link. https://www.irs.gov/tin/itin/itin-acceptance-agents -

Irish diver’s fate revealed on Thailand’s ‘Death Island’
Phillip9 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
If they under filled the tank, it would be completely obvious to the diver. All diving gear has a simple pressure gauge that displays the air left in the tank. Divers check the air gauge frequently while diving. Even if the tanks were under filled, it wouldn't make the dive unsafe -- Divers are trained to end the dive when the tank gets below 25% remaining. There is no reason or benefit to under filling tanks anyway. Most divers just use compressed air which costs nothing, so the company wouldn't be saving any money by under filling tanks. The whole idea that the tanks might have been under filled is the dumbest thing I've ever read on the internet....... -

What a loser. That guy is an embarrassment to all farangs. He looks and sounds like he lives in that abandoned zoo. -
Travel insurance is basically a scam. It's not well regulated and they try everything not to pay even if you have a valid claim. Better to just save the money and self insure.

Please show a travel insurance policy that excludes freediving. https://www.worldnomads.com/uk/travel-insurance/whats-covered/adventure-sports-and-activities I think they all exclude free diving. -
Heartbroken Irish mum honours ‘special son’ lost on Koh Tao

There are lots of road deaths on Koh Tao. There was one when I was there. The island is mountainous with very steep roads in some places, and everybody is riding motorbikes. -
Irish diver’s fate revealed on Thailand’s ‘Death Island’
Phillip9 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Part of the standard diving equipment that all diving gear has is a pressure gauge that indicates how much air is in the tank. Divers always check the pressure before the dive and frequently while under water. -
Massive price gouging by major US health companies
Phillip9 replied to bannork's topic in Political Soapbox
You must not have been paying for any health care in the US during the trump years like I was. Things weren't any different back then. -
This is usually a terrible idea. The rates given by ATMs and POS retail transactions in Thailand are robbery. They are some of the worst in the world I have seen. I frequently check their rate vs the rate I get from my bank, and the Thai banks charge something like 4% more of the total than my bank does.
