  1. Schengen countries must all agree to a visa waiver for Thailand and that will never happen, as there are too many Thais already overstaying/illegal working in other countries.. And not all Schengen countries are also EU members

  4. Indeed there are many private lessons that doesn't add anything to things the students learn at school, only good for the wallet of the teacher and bad for the wallet of the parents.. I know kids that in the long summer break had to go to private lessons every day till Songkran and after Songkran the lessons started again.. When can a kid relax its mind? The parent of the kid said it is good as at home he did not have friends to play with so better go to school....

  7. The policy is easy, don't educate the people properly as they start to think and see what is going on in the country. That will become a threat to the rich and wealthy , the army and the Government and they will loose their power and grip on the people...No the people have to stay ignorant and those who stand up are putting in jail to prevent that their example will be followed. Talking about updating education will keep the people calm, but it will never happen. Living in Thailand for a long time already I haven't seen nothing new in schools..Only less foreign teachers, as they are being seen to as a threat, because they have Western ideas and could influence the kids.
  8. 900 years ago Thailand did not exist.. It was Khmer kingdom

  12. everything, every job is protected and only for Thais... that is why it is so difficult to get work or volunteer jobs in Thailand.. A foreigner is not allowed to do something a Thai can do, so in fact we are not allowed to do anything....Outdated labour laws

  14. Put the whole country and all the cities on the world heritage list.....
  15. And with the strict labour laws and regulations about vaping and alcohol sales it is very attractive.....Surely add the hunt by RTP for foreigners with hugh fines and scam by taxi, hospitals and tourist attractions and the high educated talent will come for the wages they can earn here .....
  16. 2030?? That is long way to go for the Gay Marriage now...
  17. She is a martyr now as you said yourself and martyr can reach a lot if you look in the past. It needs courage to die for things you believe in.. That is why I respect her.. She believed in amending section 112 and died for it and the ones who refuse or hide behind the law should think twice now
  18. I am living in Phetchaburi many years already and really not much to see....Khao Wang a hill with a small palace on top, Wang ban Peun a empty palace on the military compound, Ban Laem salt fields, and Kaeng Krachan a national park.and of course Cha Am as a tourist destination for mostly Thai people as Westerns goes mostly to Hua Hin...If that attracks 10 million tourists I don't know
  19. An 8year old boy ...... Who is behind this ?? Why so much commotion about nothing.. A yes,, lottery numbers and fortune.. Clearly never understood Buddhism, but as several monks told me already Thai Buddhism is no real Buddhism
