There are no human rights in Thailand at this moment... look at gay marriage, underaged prisoners, crowded prisons, no freedom of speech and press n rights to demonstrate, even peacefully they use watercanons and chemicals...How can they speak of human rights??

Heavy rain after Songkran was predicted... In my country if the weather forecast is "here or there some rain" we always say "it always here"..... There is nothing wrong with the monarchy. the only thing they want to do is stop the abusing of section 112..They are worried for nothing. All branches are happy with the new elections, only a few 250 senators don't like it that their power is being limited now and are hiding behind a institution... Come on people give them a chance please...

That is true but the rich in Thailand are very rich and there is in fact not a real middle class, My suggestion is that everyone has to register in the place they are living and not in the blue family book anymore. That births are registered also at the amphur and don't to get an birthcertificate anymore, unless you need it. Modern registrations. And than that everybody has to fill in a tax form... So that the country knows who is living where, what there job is and how much they earn. Much easier to help people in time of need as we have seen in the Covid period. And yes maybe more tax income too but statepension for the elderly have to go up and must be paid and I think that will be easier to implement

I completely agree with you...section 112 is abused by the government, and that should be updated, but it seems that everybody has the idea that a change is meant to remove the protection and if he can clear that probably no problems are there, but, the senators have their own ideas

Everybody knows that the junta will never give up their power and wealth in Thailand...If they will not win they can easily do a coup again to stay in power.. Conservative thinking is the base and the low education of people, who believe everything that is being told. But the times have changed with internet and young people, but still the old grey will never give up power hiding behind so called protections and values which are outdated

Even the Government did not understand this constitution,because they have to ask the constitutional court for advice or decisions... So the people don't understand the leaders don't understand. IMO a simple paper with basic rights as there is in many democracies in Europe and in US should be enough. Basic rights and duties and all other laws should confirm it , Not hundred pages unreadable and non understandable stuff

We don't live in the 19th century anymore....There is no thread at all... reforming is not abolish, same as if you renovate your house... than you don't burn it down and built a new one or move to another place... no you adjust it to your wishes of these times, Same for the country, the Monarchy and the army and all other institutions you reform thing to make it better and more modern....Normal things.. nobody is using an old telephone anymore too

If the senators really expect and claim they protect the democracy they are obliged to do the will of the people. The victory of both parties are overwhelming and a new PM should be appointed. That some don't agree I can imagine, but if 250 senators block it, they don't protect anything, as they show they have no values than themselves

I went with my passport and the paper of my pension to the Amphur office and ask if they could sign and stamp it. No problem.. I know that lawyers can do it to but than you have to pay for it

than it is completely out of date.. But I thought 20 years back there were machine at the airport to pay departure tax ... I am not sure if it was 1000 or 500 THB...later they added to the ticketprices, but nobody seems to care at the tax revenue or who ever will charge this money

It only shows that Thailand keeps on living in the past... decree of 40 years back and implemented? Happy there will be now a better liberal Government, with new laws and decrees

It was a huge fire, as we passed before the firemen were there.. I am not surprised as you see on the roads so many overloaded trucks, speeding and/or driving in the wrong lanes... But yeah by no enforcement of any laws in Thailand you can't expect it will get better and now it costs 2 lives, unneeded... terrible to die like this.

His political career is over, unless there something fishy coming....
