A need for updating the labour laws, as it is now the 21st century... ion fact what is the problem if you have guests and you bring them to the airport and you have a workpermit... Maybe they should write in her contract that it is a part of her job to do that, but in fact most Western people are used to do more than their job. That is common in the Western world, always go the extra mile, but here in conservative Thailand they don't understand as a lot of people don't even can do their job. Laziness and no problem are normal here

It was on the news this morning.. She was driving wrong and hit the motorcycle from behind. The man was upset and spit on her frontscreen. The police told the woman that she was wrong but she did not accept that and the RTP made excuses to the Australian man and she did not agree.. Just typical Thai style.. They never are wrong

It only shows that there is an outdated system...Labour laws should be updated and the company knows what they were doing, but apparently they are not the one to blame.. Besides that I think every normal thinking person, knows that young people can't have a long stay here without doing anything. They have to live and need money. Russians for example are fleeing Russia, but they need money and try to get a workpermit in Thailand. It cost a lot of time mostly 3 months and the company have to give a lot of information/papers.. No wonder they don't want to do it for the employee. Besides that long term visa holders should get automatically a workpermit. They are not tourists. Also the retirees.. What does Thailand think people are sitting the whole day on a chair and do nothing?? Even working as a volunteer is not allowed. Every job needs a workpermit... Time for changes

We have built every square meter with houses, shops, restaurants but we have never thought there would be traffic and they need parking space.. Where can find a parking space in Bangkok?? Besides that Thais park their car where they want even in curves, or at white/red blocks before the traffic lights and even the police doesn't enforce anything or do the same.. Seen many times here in my place

Maybe they first can explain what tourists are.... tourists come to a country for a few weeks to relax.. Long term tourists however what are they coming to do, as they are not allowed to do anything than having a beer between 11 and 14 and after 17.00 and visit attractions and do some shopping... That is very boring..

The best thing in the story is that the employer is not being charged, as he is the one who have in fact provide the paperwork for a workpermit and have to know that every non-Thai needs a workpermit. As i said in previous posts the witch hunt on foreigners will do no any for tourism..Short sighted of Thailand

I know just to say that foreigners come here to make money is ridiculous... and Thais are going workin in other countries because they pay more.. and often they work illegally.. Look at Korea, now Saudi Arabia, and I know people in Europe too... So a few foreigners who do something here have to work that a Thai can't do and that is almost impossible to find and than they get a low payment according to Western standards..

I know the history but maybe you can read abit more about the WOII on the internet.. The Germans were angry at a certain population as they thought they were stealing their jobs. It became a real problem that all Jews had to destroyed..

in the West you can earn more than here in Thailand.. O the difference is it is here cheaper to live so probably it seems to have more money.. But be fair in the West foreigners earn far more than 35.000 THB for being a teacher.. But here in Thailand it seems a lot of money

12.000 Thais working illegally in Saudi Arabia..... But no mention of that here

Let them pay for using the footpaths and make strict rules, but as we all know there will be no enforcement, except for foreigners, that is why it is a mess all over the country
