Thais are cowards, seen it many times... many times a lot of Thais fighting against one or a few.. Never man to man .. First of all there should be written what happened. Nobody will hit someone without reason. But nobody can defend himself against a group of crazy fighters... Good for the tourist industry. It is not the first time this is happening, and Phuket is not the place to be anyway

You are right, but they like to wear masks.. That is no problem like that will protect them in an accident

The story here is different.. Indeed mother will not cremate her son until justice is done, but as high ranked people are involved ( maffia) they don't believe that justice can and will be done...

The more crackdowns and measures Thailand does, the less attractive it becomes for tourists.. So called measures for safety are only meant to control, but the real danger is in the daily traffic violations by millions of Thais, as no helmets, speeding, drunk driving, all because a lack of enforcement of any law by the RTP. That is the only institution that can make things safer and better but it fails in every field. And with no investment in the tourist sector facilities, they will loose more and more.. Stop with the outdated laws, review them and enter the 21st century. Thailand doesn't want foreign guides as the job is protected for Thais only and same for touroperator businesses,.. Only a business can open if the foreigner has the 3 Thais who will have 51% of the money.. So If I want a business with my money I will get the minority share.. and only foreigners can hired 1 on 3 Thais.. Just to say no wonder there are all kind of loopholes as it is not of this century anymore...

Does Thailand think they can prevent this kind behavior by arrival card system???

Loud music is probably the cause of the problem. Especially in Phetchaburi it is common almost everyday to hear that there is a party somewhere ... Music levels are so terrible high, except when it is near the Major his house... and nobody is doing anything about it, but I am not surprised that people are stressed and do things like this... And of course more of this story will follow as news hardly investigate what happened

They are just a bunch of criminals, nothing high profile because daddy is an MP??? It is out of date to respect or call high profiled if you are a culprit.. Respect is something that has to be earned not because you are rich or lucky to have a better position. This isn't the 19th century anymore..

Ever noticed a crackdown longer than a few days?? There have been several crackdowns on black smoke cars and drive around and see... I see everyday at least 4 to 6 cars/trucks with heavy blacksmoke.... And if really this crackdown would last forever , the RTP will get a burnout with so much work as Thais won't do it unless heavy fined and that is what the RTP will not to to their own people

A motorcycle is a motorcycle even with a sidecar, icecream sidecar or whatever they are selling or transporting.. Only this crackdown will jot do much as there is a holiday and 3 June so less policemen and after that they won't do it anymore.. Crackdowns don't last weeks.. In other countries it is possible to let people wear helmets on motorcycles, here it is only possible to let people wear masks....It is the RTP that doesn't do their job

and how about the RTP themselves?? I see many driving a motorcycle with a baseball cap or another kind of cap... and clear again fines up to 2000 THB.. That will be for foreigners and Thais 300??? and how long will this crack down last?? 1 week?

How many same kind small businesses are here?? Coffee shops?? Uncountable, mom and pop shops same, Restaurants with the same menus, you don't need to go far in Thailand... No wonder if everybody copy eachother and when they open they have many times a good business, but after a few months they start to use less quality product, raise prices, minimalize portions, less service or name it and a few months later they are gone.. I always say Thailand is a hub of destroying their own businesses by greed and mismangement.

I am not surprised at all.. I see so many pick ups overloaded and speeding driving on Phetkasem road everyday, many times they even drive on the right lane. Often they are loaded for 2 or even 3 trucks. But the where is the RTP to check and control?? And almost every 500m there is a U-turn. In my country sometime you have to drive a few kilometres to make a safe U turn on a fly-over or so, but here every petrol sation need to have one and all businesses, streets, and just name it... No wonder so many accidents

The RTP is not enforcing any law if they don't can profit from it. Easy to understand. One high ranked officer even said a few years back that the RTP don't know the laws, so how can they enforce them?

I am wondering what the dispute is this time... Thailand has claimed Cambodian land or property already several times, so I don't trust the Thai news not and the military even less...

There are just too many taxis in Bangkok... Regulate them, register them and the good ones can stay and the ones with complains are not allowed ever in their live to register as taxidriver... Why is Bolt and Grab able to do proper fares while the metered taxis always have problems?? copy their system

here in Phetchaburi is a big swimmingpool on a sportspark.. nobody is using it, so it could be used for kids swimming, just cross the street. and the school has 4000 kids P1 to P6.. so start with the lower grades 1 hour a week instead of physics and after 1 year almost all kids would be able to swim

It should be mandatorily in all schools to teach kids swimming surely the low grades... instead learn to walk with a stick for boyscout, standing in line everymorning and listen to endless talkings of directors and monks and more other useless activities. This would save many lives all over the country
