  1. I see many times these posts, but Phetchaburi province doesn't exists it seems....Almost never any mention of it
  2. Good Thailand is involved too now, as they always want to be involved in everything as the most important country on earth...
  3. Convienent yes, but I live in Phetchaburi but the bus will never stop in Phetchaburi although they almost pass my house...And I see many times that there are only a few passengers are in the bus... I don't understand as it would bring in extra money for them, but the hide that it is a rule that they can't stop and they are very very unfriendly on phone and mail....If they do it on all the routes it will cost more than it benefits
  4. Depends on what you eat....... Mussels hehehehehehe
  5. Thailand is the hub of destroying things... Tourism, business, proper education, long term visitors/expats and now economy...first by doing nothing and secondly to borrow so much money that the country has to pay a lot in coming years to get rid of the loans...
  6. The whole railway and trains are third class and need to be totally replaced with modern railways, stations, and trains so that we can get rid of this 19th century transport... Good for employment, good for the economy
  7. Lottery is coming... Look what they will write next year if all money from foreigners is taxable in Thailand.... And the retirement people are willing to do volunteer jobs, they they are not allowed due workpermits and alcohol between 2 and 5 you only can drink at your home.... Yes once Thailand was teh place to be... but now other countries like Spain and Portugal and Panama are better..
  8. I think if you travel 2,83 times to Thailand for delicious food you can eat delicious too in China for that amount of money
  9. I agree with you, but a house is a one time purchase, and indeed much cheaper than my country too, but there is much more than a house, I have to eat and imported food whatever is because of taxes very expensive, That are costs that nobody calculate. In my country a jar of Hero jam is 2,5 euro that is 100 THB but in Thailand I pay 250 THB for the same jar. If you calculate probably how much extra you pay for all these items maybe you save on your house but you pay it by the daily groceries, and if that is not enough now Thailand is going to tax all incomes/wages/salaries/pensions from all the foreigners... and believe me the tax here is higher than in my homecountry... I am intergraded already here after 20 years, but still I see that Thailand is not the country anymore that is attractive to foreigners, but there are other options surely for newcomers and Thailand will miss them because of their greed
  10. One small problem??? indeed they don't have the money yet, but Thailand and digital things is another small problem.. 90 days reporting online, Mor Prom, safety at digital bank apps.....This will be no different, the app will not work is refused, doesn't get the money, crashes, just name it... This is Thailand
  11. Borrow the money means paying interest and pay back and that would harm the economy much more than not giving the 10k.. Besides the Government always has money enough... print a lot money it will raise the inflation but who cares, as long as the 10k goes on
  12. It doesn't matter ... withe no fail law in Thailand everybody will pass anyway every year.....Only need to have attending classes.. In some schools even teachers are not allowed to give grades lower than 2,5 even to the never working students....
  13. What a gift a boiled egg.... All poverty problems solved
  14. I live in a nice house with 4 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms, fully owned and paid.... so I don't know what you are talking about.. I never have rented...But for a drinkable wine I want to pay but not for the crap here... and be fair, with all the high taxed products we don't contribute enough because with the tax law many will leave, as they will surely implement it.. The Government is in need of money and foreigners with their incomes can pay a lot..And Do you like to pay overcharged prices anyway??
  15. living in a dreamworld?? What do you eat for breakfast? only bread? Make your own jam... Have you seen the prices of strawberries?? Some people have no clue .. but you can eat your rice no problem for me
  16. The flip flop decisions always.... How can you ever rely on what is good and can be done in Thailand..It will be impossible to criminalze cannabis again..As it is impossible to let people wear a helmet, and the result.. Nothing will change and just a new law that will not be enforcement as so many, because the law enforcers are involved in many cases and they will protect their business
  17. just an example....Thailand was cheap, but not anymore.... even housing is getting more expensive and with housing only I will not live long, I have to eat and enjoy live a bit too...So with the expensive tax on imported goods, the coming income tax it will not be one of the best places to live in anymore... And if you want to know I pay here for a jar of jam double of what I would pay in Europe...and for Dolce Gusto coffeepads I pay here 100 THB than in EU... I have a house but I can't live from the wind
  18. It was once indeed, but with the current prices it is not so cheap anymore...Look at imported goods just as jam and other products... The prices are often as expensive as in Europe or even higher.. and the wines.... in the EU you pay lower prices for better wines in a restaurant than the quality here from the supermarket. the taxes are making it too expensive....
  19. One of my best friends is an abbot and a director of a temple school. Or maybe read what the Dalai Lama says about Thai Buddhism... I don't change subjects but I know very well what the rules are in Buddhism as I read a lot about it and when I was in school the director/ abbot and me talked a lot about it.. Maybe you should do the same.. start reading about real Buddhism.. In 10 years I know more than you think..
  20. JUst go out for a relaxed shopping at Big C Lotus or so....Background music like a club, and at the electronics they have their own party and on several places many speakers with talkin/screaming ladies// Even at the Makro they have everywhere a speaker which announces all products and prices of the vegetables, fish, meat bread.. Also with a background music of a club.. Probably you always go to a 7/11 shop
  21. Who in Thailand is a real Buddhist??? praying for lottery numbers, gossip, smoking, sound pollutions, coyote dancings....If you are monk this rule counts, but even the monks are not all following the rules in Thailand, how many smoke, gamble and buy lottery??? Or are you from another planet? Asks monks abd they all will say Thailand is not real Buddhists
  22. Follow the money,,,,, whose house, who organise it, etc..... and you will be surprised who is behind it in reality..... The higher ranked the more they think they can do as the law is not for them
  23. it seems a bit out of order.. Thailands age will go up indeed, but the reason is not only that people live longer but the average is surely influenced by the many young deaths in traffic accidents for example...These deaths will not be parents, besides that the very very low wages in Thailand don't make it easy to get children..Parents have to work, grandparents bring up the kids, but with the costs of schools for many reasons and rising living costs, although the government want to make us believe something else with their low inflation rate, makes it difficult to make ends meet. Than all Governments and elite don't care about it as this problem could be foreseen already decades ago, but the greed of them and the mai pen rai, because it will not affect us, is causing this problem. Solutions are possible, but there will be a big resistance for example no company is willing to raise the salaries, as they make us afraid that everything will be more expensive,,, They forget to tell us that if people can buy they will make more profit too.. Another solution is that everybody has to fill in a tax form so that the Government knows what people do for a living, how much money they have and earn, and probably have to pay tax, as almost nobody in this country pays tax. That money could be used for a kind of state pension. Stimulate more births by giving parents some money every few months extra for 3 or 4 kids ... And do something about the tragic traffic accidents with decent education, a working policeforce, and updated fines instead of 100 to 500 THB. If for not wearing a helmet a fine need to be paid of 1500 tHB the first time and the second time 2500 THB, you will see how quickly everybody will wear a helmet, and for overloaded trucks, let them stop and take what is too much from the truck...They will complain but \with the correct load they can move on with a fine of 10k....and for the things that is too much they have to find a solution...And drunk drivers??/ let them sleep in a celll till they are sober, fine them with 10k to 25k and with a very high alcohol level leave the car behind until the judge in court decided .... But I will hear we need the car/motorcycle for work/ no work no income..... but that is the result if you think that nothing will happen and you can do as you want.. The more the punishments hurts the quicker people will follow the rules
  24. Buriram is Anutin...... I think it says all
