But with the recent developments about the rejection of the voting last week about the secon chance of Pita, I am wondering if Pheu Thai now has to further to form a Government. Pita and his coalition is stil in the race....

It is your own fault that there will be protests.. First by ridiculous voting of senators and than by the verdict to suspend Pita and the unconstitutional decision to refuse a second vote for Pita.. Don't spill your tears now, accept that the people will must be respected

Oh Father Prayuth, now you ask to stay calm, but who makes the people angry first??? If you never listen to the people and don't respect the elections, why are you surprised that they take actions???

Democratic Thailand with freedom of speech, only if you don't say anything about the Government and other officials, no show alcohol even if you are in party and e-cigarettes as everything is forbidden almost, except for ones in power

Outcome will be if MFP is in the Government with Pheu Thai we don't vote Pheu Thai...

This political instability will cost Thailand dearly. It will not end in a week but can take a long time, even a new coup will not stop the protests, as the people already have announced that they wil not accept that. Time goes by and other Asian countries will be glad that investors will come to them, as in Thailand even after a coup, the instability always will be and can end as in Myanmar in a kind of Civil War.... Sadly that 250 men are capable to bring Thailand to the edge, only for their own wealth.

There is no constitution in Thailand, only laws and rules that can be bend to keep the junta in power, no matter what. A civil Government will never be possible as we have seen that 250 senators have too much power and next year probably new will be appointed to keep the power. Unless the people don't accept it anymore and demands new elections as now seems that the EC has made their mistakes for the elections, these should be declared invalid and new elections have to take place... Than the people can show their power and give parties so many votes that the senators are out of the game. They can burn coffins for the CC and parliament but that will not work. Civil disobedience, demonstrations all over the country in large groups, blocking ways in Bangkok during rush hours and so on will disrupt the country etc etc and give a strong signal that the people doesn't accept the current situation

It will be clear.. PHeu Thai goes for Pm but the senators will not accept a party that works together with MFP, with a result that if Settra in this coalition is nominated and he don't get enough votes, he can't have a second chance too and so Anutin and Prawith will be the new PM..

Bhumjaithai has a big mouth but as we now see again that they are not clean too. There is already some problems about voting ballots and now they have the same shares too.. Why not bring it in court today??

Addition, Thanakorn stressed that Gen Prayut wished to avoid escalating national tensions. Emphasizing that Thailand has been working hard to achieve stability over the past 8-9 years, the caretaker prime minister called for a peaceful political climate and progressive movement.
In which he failed terribly... We all have seen how protests were being handled with watercanons and chemicals, people in jail for section 112, containers, and rubber bullits. For Prayuth the Covid was a gift. so failed agian and progressive movements as we can see this week and today are fake news, as the country will be throwed back again for years.. Shame, Shame Shame

I am wondering what would happen if he now says I will pull back section 112 amendment and next year when the senate is gone he sends his amendment in for voting.... I think they can't block it now

I will predict what will happen... Mr Pita will not get the chance to become PM. It is very unlikely as if the parliament is voting that a second chance is possible for him, they don't vote for him so he will not be PM. Than the post goes to Pheu Thai, but as several senators already spoke out that they don't vote for the suggested PM if Pheu Thai will work with the Move Forward Party. The constitutional court will decide that MFP must be disbanned as of section 112 amendment. Pheu Thai must make a coalition with the other military backed parties. The senators will agree if only a PM from these parties is chosen and not from Pheu Thai.
So they are all happy, they stay in power, have the PM MFP is gone Pita banned for 10years for itv shares... If there is a coup coming, they have another general ready Mr Apirat to take over the country. The only thing they don't see is that the people dont accept this anymore. Four years ago they came on the streets, Now the same is happening with MFP there will be more and I strongly believe there will be blood flowing.

The world doesn't care. The country and its government has no influence and is of no importance to anyone and anything anywhere outside of its borders.
That is true ,, but do tourists think of that too??? It is another problem, not only scamming, overpricing, bad service, no smiles anymore, political unrest etc etc... Other countries can be a better choice. Myanmar is not attractive to tourists at the moment too

Unfortunately there is no constitution in Thailand, only a package of laws and rules they call a constitution but are ment to keep the the military in power after each election. It is the junta that rules and there will never be possibility to get a civil government, although they pretend they are democratic... Indeed the Us is the first to speak out and other countries will follow...Legal system is only for the military benefit

What a stupid situation.. tomorrow they have to discuss if Pita can be candidate for PM for the 2nd vote, if they agree , than they will not vote for him and he is moved aside... Make it easy.. Accept it or don't accept it and face the consequences

He clarified the 33 absence senators.. Why did he not clarify why so many senators abstained from voting... That would be more interesting...and also why there was in the media that senators were pressed not to vote for Pita. It is easy to say that senators and family are intimidated, but who says that it are MFP supporters?? They probably did not intimidate senators not to vote for Pita

But the Constitutional Court can block the voting if they accept the case the day before... It is all a part to prevent that a Civil Government will rule..

Pheu Thai to install Srettha as Prime Minister by forming a coalition pact with government parties

As we could read yesterday it is very needed to amend section 112 as a teenager is convicted for 1 year in prison for an action of 3 years ago when the kid was 16... Shameful that kids are being convicted for section 112. That is never the intention of the law... Pheu Thai will not accept parties that want to amend section 112, but why are they in this coalition than with Move Forward??.. It seems already an untrustful partner
