    Tickets

Is this a series post? Firstly, the guy has already been in contact with you and asked you to wait. Benefits of the doubt springs to mind. Especially as you've never had an issue with him before. Secondly the police aren't going to do anything about tickets to a Justin Bieber concert. Not now, and not in November.
  2. Umm. I don't know what classes a bank as a "main" bank but when I said "most" banks, I was working on as a percentage of the amount of entities that exist, not the amount of customers they may or may not have. There are definitely more than 6 banks in total making my statement, on the basis described above, correct. I apologize if it wasn't clear.
  3. Most banks in Thailand can only accept international transfers at a maximum value of 50,000bt via Wise at present. I guess the OP os aware of this fact, though, as they give a clear warning every time you try to make a transfer (even if under 50,000bt, for some reason!) which explains the limit and lists the banks which are exempt from the limit. I thought I'd mention it, though, just in case.
  4. Sorry I wasn't very clear in my post I meant "you may want to consider traveling elsewhere [as opposed to Malaysia] to obtain your non-B visa for Thailand"
  5. You may want to consider travelling elsewhere. I have heard that the authentication requirement is less enforced in other consulates (Laos, perhaps?) Perhaps somebody else could verify?
  6. You also cannot do it, I believe, if you're already here on another type of non-imm visa/extension.
  7. Just maybe the OP plans to come back again in the future for a longer stay and doesn't want to have to go through the whole process of getting a license from scratch? Also, the OP has said nothing about having a license in his home country, so you can't assume he does.
  8. What are "holiday restrictions"?
  9. Yes you can. As you're not on a non-immigrant visa you'll only get another 2 years, not 5 years. I can't help with where to do it in Bangkok, sorry.
  10. What you have to bear in mind that in England the temperatures so rarely reach levels like this (maybe a short 1 or 2-week spell every 2-3 years) that pretty much nowhere has air con, so there's nowhere to escape the heat for a few minutes, and at night time it can be particularly uncomfortable at the temperatures you experience throughout these heat waves.
  11. Huh? The TM47 is the 90 day report. That little receipt at the bottom is the bit they tear off and affix to your passport. Perhaps in the past the immigration officers were kind enough to fill it out on your behalf?
  12. I am well aware of the issues regarding ice. I just have no idea how it relates to the topic in question.
  13. Firstly because it would be abused by everyone from the schools who would use 'volunteers' to replace teachers (thus taking work away from other people which is a definite no), through to the subset of volunteers who just want an easy stay in Thailand. It's a nice idea that could work in practice if a lot of effort went into it, but when has any real effort been put into implementing a scheme here? Secondly there already is a volunteer visa/extension of stay. And guess who it's used by and what for?
