Are you forceful when declining food? Or do you decline in a condescending way? Maybe something like "if I wanted food I'd say so"? Because I have never once had a negative reaction to only ordering beer. If I'm passing somewhere that is clearly operating as a restaurant, be it a little Thai-style establishment, or a posh-ish touristy type place, then I will always ask first if it's acceptable for me to only order a beer. I've never had an adverse reaction so far. (edit... I've just noticed who I'm responding to. Sorry, I thought it was a serious thread/question...)

Question about “Pothole” Coffee shop
JayClay replied to Nickelbeer's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
To me that reads that it's been blanket legalised, and as a result of the legalization the government want to promote its use for medical purposes. It does not say anywhere (in the passage you quoted) that these are the exclusive uses allowed under law. -

How very on topic... -
Thai Covid Center approves visa period extensions for foreign tourists

I notice that you've excluded the most likely option; ie it's 45+30 -
I was quoting the OP...

Which came first, the chicken or the egg price rise?

Do you enter with a non-immigrant visa or do you have an existing extension of stay based on on of the non-immigrant categories since you last entered Thailand? It is my understanding that you can only obtain an ED visa in-country if you entered on a tourist visa and have not already converted to non-immigrant in country since your arrival.

Maybe you don't understand how a forum works?

Question for how long I can stay?
JayClay replied to Gknrd's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
How old are you? Are you married? If over 50 or married there are possibilities to get a non immigrant visa in-country (despite what the post above says). I'm sure Joe will be along later and will be able to explain the requirements for doing so. -
Busy or not, I didn't miss anything. I read the story on here. So what's your point?

What a ridiculous thing to say. Do you honestly believe only gay people or Swedish men get jealous/hurt/desperate enough to resort to violence?

Maybe they figure if you're not willing to stump up an extra 50 or 100bt for the oil option, you're also not likely to be a big tipper!

I met somebody else who got caught in a similar situation. Every time a flight is changed you need to re-reserve your seat. Of course they don't inform you of this. I logged in out of paranoia when my (economy!) flight with Qatar Air was "changed", only to find that, despite paying for legroom seats, they'd reassigned me to a standard seat. I moved it back with no additional charge. The person who was (eventually...) sitting next to me hadn't checked and was moved by a flight attendant because there happened to be an empty seat available with the specification he'd paid for. His wife wasn't quite so lucky... I think this is a problem stemming from an inadequate system when they cancel and merge flights.

The statement is clear enough to me... Can the poster apply for an e-visa for re-entry to Thailand whilst still in Thailand, then go to Vietnam and come back on the e-visa? I don't know the answer, unfortunately but would be interested to find out for future reference.
you can only enter either country with an appropriate visa.
Not true. Both countries have may have visa exempt options available; depending on the nationality of the traveller.

Not really. Wearing a seatbelt in a car can also save the life of the person sitting in front of you. So it's not even just a "personal responsibility" thing. It annoys me every time I get into a taxi and start to belt up only to have the taxi driver say "no need. no need".

Enough to somehow degrade the quality of your life, evidently.

Workarounds to problems generally are complicated. As others have said, the least amount of work involved to make thinks easier for yourself is to just get yourself a phone. Even a non-smart phone would be perfectly suitable for this task.
