  1. But nothing official until late in 2019 in the wake of his attempt to strongarm Zelensky to launch an investigation of Biden.
  2. What does this have to do with your characterization that they "forced their way in".
  3. This point about his 4 years as President is so obvious it's bizarre that you had to mention it. But, apparently, it still needs to be mentioned.
  4. The documents being referred to are the ones being scutinized by the Special Master. So it's not a question of "forcing their way in". Allthough I'm not aware that investigators "forced their way in" anywhere.
  5. For one thing, it's against DOJ policy to bring charges in a case with political ramifications 50 days before an election. For another, as you may recall, Judge Aileen "Loose" Cannon has appointed a special master to review the documents. While an appeals court panel rightly issued the judicial version of a rebuke for her denial to the Justice Dept of access to classified documents, there are lots of others to review. And keep in mind that it's a crime to take any any documents from the White House without NARA approval. So the documents that are still being reviewed may also be relevant to the investigation.
  6. As long as Trump was President, he couldn't be criminally prosecuted. Now he can be. And he is certainly being seriously and strenuously investigated by the FBI.
  7. If it's possible for a website to be both nerdish and cool, this one is it.
  8. All you had to do was name one for starters.
  9. For you, certainly, considering that there are a disproportionate number of Putin fans among them.
  10. Not surprising that the Schiller Institute would host this rightwing loon 'The Schiller Institute is closely tied to Lyndon LaRouche. A biography of LaRouche hosted on institute's website states that "[i]t is his work and his ideas, that inspired the creation of the international Schiller Institute, as well as his intellectual and moral leadership that continue to set the standard for the policies and activity of the movement."[8]... An internal London Metropolitan Police (Scotland Yard) letter, obtained by the BBC's Newsnight during a British investigation into the death says: "The Schiller Institute and the LaRouche Youth Movement... blames the Jewish people for the Iraq war and all the other problems in the world" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schiller_Institute Black is also a big fan of the Syrian government
  11. Your claim would be more believable if you hadn't left the following unanswered:
  12. How did Galileo's ideas threaten to undermine public health? Mortality statistics in the US show that those areas in the US where anti covid vaccination belief was strongest also had the highest levels of mortality.
  13. It's funny how some people claim to distrust twitter except when it confirms their beliefs. Got any actual hard information? Or just rumors based on what some twitterers are claiming?
  14. Somebody else who saves the people the bother of answering questions he asks by answering those questions themselves. So thoughtful!
  15. B.S. Here's what you wrote It makes no sense to say "we are getting somewhere" if that was anything other than a rhetorical question.
  16. But the extremely wealthy were scheduled to get a bigger percentage cut in their taxes until Truss relented. And the government plans to cut back the dividend tax which was recently raised to pay for health and social services. And cuts in dividend taxes will disproportionately favor the wealthy since a far higher percentage of their earnings comes from stock holdings.
  17. Please share with us the statistics on "layabout scroungers" as a percentage of welfare recipients. I look forward to a very long wait.
  18. It should be laughed out of court. But then, Clarence Thomas should be laughed out of court, too. So who knows? Ultimately, if all the justices get to decide on it, it shouldn't have even the slightest chance of succeeding.
  19. Now be fair. That transfer to the wealthy may not be entirely funded by borrowed money: Truss Hints at UK Benefits Cuts, Courting New Tory Rebellion https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-10-04/truss-yet-to-decide-on-uk-benefits-as-fresh-row-looms-with-mps#xj4y7vzkg
  20. Personal, uncomfirmable experience. Always so convincing.
  21. You asked Chomper Higgot a question and then answered the question yourself. This was very generous of you. Or very desperate.
  22. These latest revelations should mean that Trump is toast. And not just any toast but the burned-to-a-crisp kind. SURPRISE: TRUMP, A PATHOLOGICAL LIAR, REPORTEDLY ASKED HIS LAWYER TO LIE TO THE GOVERNMENT ABOUT HIS CLASSIFIED-DOCUMENTS CACHE "The Washington Post reports that in early 2022, the ex-president asked Alex Cannon, an attorney who’d work for both the Trump Organization and the Trump campaign, to tell the National Archives and Records Administration that all materials requested by the agency had been turned over, despite the fact that he was still in possession of thousands more government documents. According to the Post, Cannon, who had “facilitated the January transfer of 15 boxes of presidential records from Mar-a-Lago to the National Archives, after archives officials agitated for more than a year to get ‘all original presidential records,’” did not feel comfortable making such a claim. He reportedly told people he didn’t know if all the requested material had been returned, and “other Trump advisers also encouraged Cannon not to make such a definitive statement,” according to people familiar with the matter." https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2022/10/donald-trump-alex-cannon-classified-documents "Complicating matters, the Post’s report added that when it came time to return some materials to the Archives, Trump personally “packed the boxes that were returned in January.” The more the evidence shows the former president had a direct and hands-on role, the less Trump can plausibly blame others in the scandal." https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/maddowblog/mar-lago-case-trump-reportedly-told-lawyer-mislead-archives-rcna50714
  23. I've read that there is speculation the Musk changed his plans because he's getting funding from a foreign source. If so, probably from some country that doesn't wish the USA well.
