  1. No. You did not know who they were when you wrote in the MAGA style, of making a generalization, and hoping no one would question the narrative. Educate me and everyone else. The large numbers of countries should be easy to name for you, so just educate us.
  2. Did the reality check hit a raw nerve? The point is that what is often served up as some special miracle person, turns out to be no better (or worse) than anyone else.
  3. The fact remains that at 19 years old he was an adult and capable of making big boy decisions. He screwed up and now is gone. Of course it is a tragedy and sad, but it was his choice. Stop blaming the police for non compliance with common sense safety. No one forced him to speed or to not wear a helmet. He knew what he was doing . How about holding people responsible for their actions? Compliance starts with ourselves.
  4. All alcohol is subject to taxes in Thailand. The USA was not singled out. What automobiles manufactured in the USA does the USA. wish to export to the USA? Are any vehicles manufactured in the USA for markets like Thailand, Japan, Singapore? What textiles and apparel does the USA even manufacture for export? Tobacco? Seriously? You want favourable status for. poison? The USA with the exception of the. unreliable Harley Davidson motorcycles doesn't manufacture motorcycles does it? Harley Davidson manufactures for the local Thailand market in Thailand. Good luck on building the cheap high labout intensive parts that Thailand provided, The USA will never be able to replace the lower cost, better quality suppliers with competitive products. Flowers? Since when has the USA ever exported flowers to any nation other than Canada?
  5. The best lawyers are not exclusive to the USA. The only reason why some firms are used is because of compliance issues and the need sometimes for a local law office. Other times, it is because they are in the local service provider's network. Trump didn't mind using a small shopping mall accounting firm for his multi billion dollar empire did he? It is not difficult to avoid transacting with theUS based financial entities for most transactions. It just wasn't a priority for many foreign entities. Now it will be. Dealing with a US based firm didn't bother Trump much when he sought out Deutches Bank or certain foreign investors, right? Who needs the compliance filings and the bureaucracy when dealing with the US firms. I am counting the days until I can cash out my shares from some of my old US employers and be done with the IRS filing and witholdings.
  6. If one falls in love with the. dolled up image of a street sweeper, one is also likely to fall in love with a Pattaya beer bar tart, or a Loei karaoke hostess.
  7. What? How is Thailand not being fair? What tariffs are preventing US imports? It's a simple question. Yes, US companies pay Thai government taxes. Did you know that Thai companies pay taxes to the US government? What are the unfair taxes?
  8. Which ones? Help me out here, what tariffs does Thailand impose that really impact imports from the USA?
  9. Do you have any sources to back this up, because the reports are that the changes have failed to convince the USA. Vietnam made some changes like; Tariffs on frozen chicken legs will be reduced from 20 per cent to 15 per cent, the rates on unshelled pistachios will be slashed from 15 per cent to 5 per cent, and for almonds, it will drop from 10 per cent to 5 per cent. Hardly, the surrender you are suggesting. The changes were made prior to Trump's big plan, and it did nothing to minimize the impact. There is no "discount" for anyone. And just who are on the growing list of countries?
  10. What are the Thai tariffs applied to and do they really impact US sales into Thailand? What are the Thai tariffs hurting from the USA? Let's use automobiles. Do you know any Thais who want to buy a US automobile? Does the US even manufacture vehicles in the USA that have the steering column set up for Thailand? I am all for Thailand getting any of its tariffs that are unfair. Some are likely to be outdated and no longer needed, but I don't know which tariffs are hurting US trade. Do you?
  11. So the complaints from Republicans are fake? The refusal of some cabinet secretaries to so-operate is fake? Ok. Let's see how it plays out. Musk is toast and he will be moved to the side before May.
  12. Sometimes one must be forceful and graphic in order to drive home the point to some who also hold the delusion that bargirls are waiting there just for them. 🙃
  13. US is a service based economy. Consumers and multinationals located outside the USA can start by reconsidering which financial institutions and professional firms they transact with. There are alternatives to JP Morgan, Chase etc.. There are alternatives to international insurance brokers like Marsh, Aon, Willis etc. There are alternatives to the big accounting firms like KPMG, Deloitte etc. There are alternatives to some of the US dominated international law firms. There are alternatives to US insurers like CIGNA, AIG, CNA and Berkshire Hathaway. One need not fly on any US international flights (not that anyone wants to), nor transit US cities to go to some countries. One can even easily avoid US master hospitality chains like McDonalds, Pizza Hut and hotel chains like Marriott, Hyatt and Hilton. All it takes is some courage and resolve, Inflict some pain and they USA will get the message. All it needs is a dip of 5%-10% and the USA will reconsider. Navarro the convicted felon is the man behind this nonsense and he is wrong.
  14. Camera filters, lighting and cosmetics are very dangerous when used by skilled artists. The woman you see in the images, does not really look like that in person. Wait until you see her teeth and smell her breath. For those who hold romantic desires, consider how desirable she is when she farts som tam in bed, or finishes in the lavatory after discharging the fermented fish and cheap whiskey from the previous night. Will she be as desirable when the screaming loud family descends and eats you out of house and home and when the kids start running wild?
  15. Starlink is in trouble. It is losing international support and it was that product acceptance that was driving expansion. The Canadians and Europeans are in strategic negotiations to leverage the Canadian and European satellite networks and capabilities to replace Starlink. It will not happen overnight, but within the next 2 years, we will see a very different approach. None of the businesses in Musk's business empire were created by him. In most cases the R&D was financed by others and the US federal government. Becaiuse of his payout from Paypal Musk has successively leverage and bought his way into bigger and more complex businesses. At some point the business construct will either collapse or be forced to restructure. Musk's problem is that he is so loathed and disliked that his companies are suffering and his ability to expand beyond the USA is now stopped. The knives are out for him and even some in the tech sector want him to disappear because of the negative image created.
  16. The USA does not manufacture the high volume, low profit margin products that Thailand provides. Where will the USA source its -Electrical Apparatus for Line Telephony or Line Telegraphy -Diodes, Transistors and Similar Semi-conductor Devices -Electrical Transformers, Static Converters and Inductors - Transmission Apparatus For Radiotelephony, Tv, Cameras, Cordless Telephones - Small electrical appliances and other low profit labour intensive items? Where will the USA source rlow cost latex/ubber if it not from Thailand and Malaysia? Are you going to ask US consumers to give up their cheap cooked, shelled and deveined shrimp? The food indystry is dependent on it. What about tuna? Are people going to stop eating tuna and other seafood products? How wil Republicans clutch their pearls when their largest supplier is no longer a source? All of the products exported to the USA meet a demand and a cost point. They are not being purchased for charitable purposes.
  17. Although I responded, CNN has provided an indepth response that explains what happened. It is a similar position to mine but expressed in more detail and with graphs and more data. https://edition.cnn.com/2025/04/02/politics/voter-turnout-wisconsin-election-dg/index.html?iid=cnn_buildContentRecirc_end_recirc Turnout in Wisconsin’s Supreme Court race was remarkable for an off-year election -Turnout in the race was remarkable for an off-year election in which state supreme court judge was the highest ranking office on the ballot — an indication that Americans remain deeply engaged in the electoral process. -There were 1.8 million votes cast in the state’s last supreme court race in 2023. More than 2.3 million people voted in Tuesday’s contest. Compared with that 2023 race, turnout is higher in every single county. - While that turnout was still low compared to a presidential election (more than 3.4 million people voted in Wisconsin last year) it was much closer to the roughly 2.7 million people who voted for governor in the 2018 and 2022 midterms. The midterm elections were sufficient to elect a majority Republican legislature (and a Democrat Governor last election). This is the key characteristic that destroys your argument. See how elections work?
  18. May was the step back month and it was no secret, but it is reported that Trump is listening to his party, advisers and cabinet and pushing Musk to go sooner. Be honest: Musk has cost Trump goodwill and alienated many Republican voters. And also, I genuinely believe that Trump is acting in a fatherly role now and telling Musk to go manage his businesses before he loses it all. Whatever his faults are, Trump does take care of his loyalists.
  19. Oh yes I do. Your argument rests on the claim that there is a reduced voter turnout and as a result, the Republican candidates lose. Your argument ignores the fact that NOTHING is stopping motivated Republicans from voting, nothing except their dislike of the state of the nation and the candidate. If Republicans were motivated by the cause and candidate they would have run to the polls. Your argument also requires that the results from the past 4 court elections be ignored since they support a different conclusion. Wisconsin's population has stagnated over the past decade. The population growth between 2010 and 2022 was only 3.5%. Its total population is approx. 5.9 million. The eligible number of voters has been relatively flat over the past 5 years, because of that flat population growth. The tentative total voter count for the 2025 election indicates (using the unofficial total vote @99% of districts reporting) is 2,364,372. That's a significant increase in votes from 2023's 1,840,213. The total 2023 votes cast were higher than those cast in 2020 at 1,549,697 votes If you look at the election results for the past 3 elections, voter turnout by total voters was been steadily increasing. Additionally, the last time a Republican won the election in 2019, voter turnout was low with only 1,207,569 votes cast. In the past 3 elections where a Democrat won, the results were approx. 55%D-45%R. The election where the Republican won was neck and neck with the Republican winning by only 6,000 votes. Contrary to what you conclude, for state supreme court elections, when the voter turnout is high, a Democrat is more likely to win. That's the trend since 2019. It's about trends in voting preferences. In 2020, with a 66.6% turnout, voters overwhelmingly picked Joe Biden. It was the highest voter turnout by percentage since 1900. Biden received more than 81 million votes, the most votes ever cast for a presidential candidate in U.S. history Biden 81,283,501 - Trump 74,223,975. Trump lost the election. The 2024 election turnout dropped to 63.9%. Trump obtained 77,302,580 compared to Harris' 75,017,613. Biden's result from 2020 was much better. The takeaway there is that while Harris did better than Trump did in 2020, she lost because the Democrats did not come out to vote. Trump won the election. And now voter trends are shifting back to where they have been historically. People voted for change in 2024 whether it was understood or not. Now that they see the economic catastrophe unfolding they are starting to revert to their former voting preferences. It is why the margins in the Florida special elections in solid safe Republican districts were cut in half. Carville the political strategist is being proven right in his prediction of the Republican collapse. If Trump doesn't blink again with his tariffs, the markets are going to send him a message the morning after his Rose garden spectacle, and then the voters will do it in November's governor elections in VA and NJ.
  20. Not likely as Trump intends to cut funding for passenger rail. https://www.trains.com/trn/news-reviews/news-wire/amtrak-independence-at-stake-status-of-approved-fra-infrastructure-grants-uncertain-analysis/ Did you know that Mussolini did not get Italian trains to run on time? He did however claim credit for improvements that had been made prior to his taking power. Under Mussolini, train punctuality deteriorated significantly, over time, especially in 1943-1944.
  21. Aren't you the one demanding there be a massive relief mission and then having a hissy fit when it was pointed out that it's a war zone?
  22. Why would you be using a card to board or to pass the egates? If they are QR reliant you have the option of using any electronic device that displays the code, or a paper printout. Sometimes when I fly, I use a paper BP with a barcode that is scanned at security and at the gate for boarding when they are checking my ID.
  23. Comrade, how about looking at the WI election. Harris was not a candidate and had no involvement.
  24. That's a cop out. How do you know what the voter turnout was? Did you check the previous court election? You do not want to accept that the support for Trump is starting to erode, and so you offer a feeble excuse for the poor election outcome of the Republican candidate, despite the greater spending by Republcians. And before you answer, you should look at the voter participation for this election and the last court election. And before you even do that, you should reconsider dismissing people because of your own bias and assumptions. If you are such an expert, you would know that the official voter turnout is not yet available. I will help you out; Wisconsin does not have a statewide system for reporting unofficial results on Election Night, and there is no central official website or feed where results are reported. State law requires that counties post the unofficial election night numbers for each polling place. The unofficial statewide and county results numbers that the public sees on Election Night and the days thereafter come from the news media, including the Associated Press, which collects them from the 72 county clerks’ websites.
  25. I suggest you consider extra strength incontinence undergarments if you are not already using them as you will have a long wait in line for the arrivals who did not complete their forms.
