  1. Yes. The evidence presented to the Romanian Constitutional Court was overwhelming.
  2. Where were you on January 6, 2021? The US capital was over run by a mob. The House of Representatives was vandalized and there was looting. People were convicted for theft. Thousand upon thousands of photos showing the vandalism, violence, and mob on January 6, 2021
  3. At one point, Britain was rightly proud to have a Muslim Mayor of London, a Hindu Prime Minister, and a Scottish-Pakistani First Minister — a powerful symbol of multicultural success, not failure. Pride goes before the downfall does it not? The Mayor of London is a bigot and panders to his muslim and radical labour voting bloc, neglecting those who do not share their views. Poor Sunak was a dud as PM. Probably a decent fellow, but oh my, he was lost and overwhelmed. And as for the menace who was Scotland's first minister, , he was the gift the Scottish people deserved. It was a wake up call they needed. They were and are three of the UK's biggest losers.
  4. No. Russia was caught trying to manipulate the Romanian election results. The constitutional court annulled the vote after declassified intelligence documents revealed an alleged Russian influence operation, including multiple cyber-attacks on the electoral IT system and “massive” social media meddling in Georgescu’s favour. As reported in the Guardian 25 April 2025. The Romanian people voted and gave the centrist candidate a victory. Even in the revised election, tThe support for the right wing candidate was coming from voters who did not live in Romania. The Polish candidate who is leading is a conservative centrist and hardly a liberal. The Portugal election shows that the conservative centrists are leading, while the extreme right wing party saw a decrease in support. It is infantile and dishonest to describe centrists, and moderate conservative parties as leftwing.
  5. Reading the responses, I appreciate how very fortunate I am. Very, very fortunate. Having a decent father really does set the foundation for future success. One does not necessarily need a good father to succeed, but having one, sure makes it more of certainty and easier. I know that if I listed all that my father had done, it would cause resentment or comments that it was unlikely. The sad part, is that I never used to appreciate it when I was a kid and by the time I have come to really get it, the lessons are sort of wasted. My own responsibility for that, but that is what happens when you live in a bubble of privilege and are protected from real hardship.
  6. Those look like TTC subway benches. The TTC like other subway systems does not allow smoking in its facilities. If you felt unsafe did you push the yellow assistance pad that runs along the length of the car? Did you call 9-11? The TTC offers an app for mobile phones. Download it and use it if you are afraid. If you did not report the man, then you are part of the problem and should not complain. Having access to the information and being honest are two different things. Mr. Patel was caught in his dishonesty at his budget hearing, so offering inaccurate or misleading statements is not an unusual activity for the man. There is a flaw in your logic. How does Mr. Patel know how much fentanyl is entering from Canada? Other than relying on seizures of the substance to extrapolate the exposure, there is no way of actually knowing. As was stated above, the drug is arriving via cargo shipments. If the USA has a drug dependence problem it should look to its own population first. Someone is using the drugs. If people were not using there would be no demand. The drug market is extreme capitalism and it responds to market demand. If there is demand, there will be supply, even at a high cost.
  7. I believe this has already tried out in Springfield and it did not end well. However, seriously, a monorail is not appropriate for a country like Thailand with its lack of general maintenance culture.
  8. Prove it. The burden of proof rests entirely on those making the claim.
  9. Thank you. I was unable to add the phot. Much appreciated for your assistance. 💫 Certainly, made his event more of a clown show with that costume and pose. All that was missing was Elon Musk and his vacant stare.
  10. Actually, he was 18-19 at the time, and like most Swedes of that age, was tall, lean and quite good looking. I envied his ease with women. He was even smiling in the videos, which is unusual for Swedes. He went into a career in the Swedish military,, took up with an attractive Swedish woman, and they had puppies. A veritable Ikea advertisement.
  11. Question: Do you believe that Robert Ritchie's business aka "Kid Rock" was using unauthorized migrant labour? Yes or No will suffice Question: Do you believe that Rober Ritchie's business was tipped off? Yes or No will suffice. Mr. Zelenskyy was criticized for not wearing a formal suit when he visited the White House and Mr. Trump. Mr. Zelenskyy came from a war zone where people are trying to survive, let alone worry about formal wear. Mr. Ritchie in his carnival outfit, and wearing a hat indoors spent time with Mr. Trump in the oval office. He is not criticized for looking like a cheap carny tout.
  12. So the takeaway lesson is to not make conclusions and assumptions when you do not have all of the relevant facts.
  13. The problem is that the process of obtaining the 60 day tourist visa was/is a hassle. It is difficult for alot of people who have better things to do. The visa exempt entry of 60 days that allowed for an extension was ideal for older visitors who wanted to stay for more than 30 days and who didn't want to be burdened with paperwork and the expense of taking photos and gathering supporting documentation. Make a process difficult and some people who have other options say screw that and go elsewhere.
  14. Not necessarily true in Thailand. It seems that the older western dope smokers in SE Asia bring with them multiple mental health issues and the cannabis allows the behavioral problems to manifest themselves.
  15. I doubt that anyone European is coming to Thailand for the cannabis. If they need it that badly they can go to Germany or Malta or a coffee shop in the Netherlands. At least a trip to Amsterdam allows a visit to some of the world's finest art collections. My Swedish friend used to take the ferry to Estonia when he was in University. Easy cannabis and easy women he used to say.
  16. As you know, Japan is a very homogenous society. Japan has practiced a very strict parent-based nationality (jus sanguinis); as a result, even fourth generation immigrant descendants are still legally resident foreigners, not citizens (e.g., Koreans) (Lee, 2012). Realistically, “parent-based” is an euphemism for “race-based.” Japan is very much a society rooted in social custom, politeness respect for order and process etc. Deviating from those norms or being too different attracts attention. Some cultures are not easily compatible with the Japanese way of living. It is not because of an overt bias against blacks per se. Rather it is because of blacks are foreigners who are more visible than other foreigners. Many articles on this issue. Africans have a particularly difficult time with Japan immigration. It is not unusual for some innocent African to be detained and mistreated on the whim of an immigration officer. https://www.lemonde.fr/en/international/article/2024/05/09/japan-sees-an-increase-in-racial-profiling-of-foreigners_6670946_4.html I left my house for work at 6:30 a.m. and, 15 minutes later, I was in line for the morning train. I stood behind a gentleman who, upon noticing me standing behind him, patted his back pockets and turned his body so that he could keep a wary side-eye on me without, I guess, having to constantly glance over his shoulder. When we boarded the train, he scurried away to the other end of the car. https://www.japantimes.co.jp/community/2023/06/19/voices/note-people-color-interested-living-japan/
  17. If the butchers who are responsible for the very expensive Kobe beef (30,000-50,000 yen/kg) are considered low caste because of their handling of dead flesh, I would expect that the fish mongers are treated similarly, even if a prized tuna is expensive. The fish guy still is gutting and preparing the fish. Much of Japan's social inequity is income and family status driven, However, there are other factors with lots of scholarly articles on the subject. Here's some advice from a consulting group. https://japanintercultural.com/free-resources/articles/in-japan-hierarchy-is-no-malarky/
  18. No. The problem are irresponsible people, local and foreigner alike. Some people will allow their animals to roam, and fortunately, most are not aggressive. There is always the potential for the rogue animal. Unfortunately, Rawai , like much of Thailand has a speeding problem. Compounding it is that people do not slow for animals or people and regularly run over animals and carry on. Thailand is also a country where the theft of animals is not unusual. The people who do this are veritable scum and will claim that the animal was wandering about and that they were only being nice, when the reality is that they are looking for something to sell to a dog butcher or a dog fighting ring. The best thing that you can do is to fence your property to keep the animals in a safe space, and to not leave the animals unattended. It's not just the theft risk. There are poisonous snakes and reptiles and stinging insects like centipedes and you need to be close to keep an eye on the dogs.
  19. Changing from 60 days to 30 days will have a negative impact on the quality tourism sector. The premium western visitors are the older westerners who stay for 30-90 days, the retirees. Especially the visitors from the nordic countries, snowbirds. If Thailand is having a problem with some people change the rules for the problem demographic. Quality longer term visitors are going to say enough and just book elsewhere, like Vietnam. Not everyone is here for the ping pong show and inked hookers.
  20. Yes. Indirectly. Failure to train, to supervise and to control. Those were the owner's failures. Blaming the animal is a way to avoid holding the responsible party accountable. Obviously, the animals will need to be euthanized, but this evil man will just do it again and again and again.
  21. The animals are not the proble, The person who encouraged this is. he will do it again and again. Deal with him .
  22. You really are a disturbed creature. The pitbulls will not be at risk for the rat poison. However local wildlife will.
