  1. Huh? The Ottoman Empire took control in 1516 after they defeated the Mamluk Sultanate. Jerusalem was eventually governed from Istanbul and the rest of "Palestine" was subdivided into districts and was governed from Ottoman Syria. The Ottoman Empire recognized the Israelite people, which is why Jerusalem was managed as its own entity. The Israelites or Yehuds as they were called, were autonomous and managed their internal affairs, including religious, social, and legal matters under the Ottoman Empire's millet system.
  2. Absolute nonsense. 14 million refugees were created by the Syrian war.Israel was not involved. It was Assad, Hezbollah, Iran and Russia against the people of Syria. Assad intentionally created the refugee crisis to pressure the west to support his regime. iran and Russia intentionally helped push refugees to the west to destabilize the west. This was not a proxy war with Israel and had nothing to do with Israel. It was Turkey and Iran who have been killing Kurds in North Syria for decades. There were always Jews in Israel. The reason why the area was called Judea was because there were jews. The Arabs are the colonizing migrants who made their way up from the Arab peninsula. The Arabs were the ones who expelled the jewish people out of the modern day Saudi Arabia and Iraq and those jewish tribes moved into the greater Israel region.
  3. If any of you lonely men are interested in corresponding with "political prisoner" Maxwell, her mailing address is ; Name: GHISLAINE MAXWELL Register Number: 02879-509 FPC Bryan FEDERAL PRISON CAMP P.O. BOX 2149 BRYAN, TX 77805 She is scheduled for release on July 17, 2037. That's only 12 years away. If you play your cards right, you might have a new wife 75 years young. Or if she is let out early, who knows, you might have a soulmate. After all, some of you men who frolic in Thailand and Cambodia may have something in common. 🫠 And remember be polite and respectful. The guards will be reading her letters. If you want to send her money so she can by items like soap, the Federal Prison Bureau has a mailing address for that. Maybe for Valentines day, some of you fellows can pool your resources to send her a card.
  4. OK, but Maxwell was neither accused not convicted of sexual abuse or of assaulting minors. She was convicted on charges of human trafficking, and conspiracy to traffic persons. Yes, her crimes were awful, but she did not directly touch the people and does not present a direct physical threat to others as sexual crime assailants do. That's the difference. The Bryan facility holds others who have enaged in similar crimes. The most notable is Elizabeth Holmes, the billionaire founder of Theranos, who was convicted of fraud. Theranos involved branding of people, sexual exploitation and conspiracy.
  5. temp. option. I typed m instead of . The communities are not being wiped out. An airport has been there since 1929. Much of the development occurred in the 1960's and 1970's when Heathrow was already big and noisy. The aircraft of that era were much louder than they are today. Expansion of the airport has been public knowledge since the 1980's, so anyone purchasing after that period knew what was going to happen. They have had 40 years to sort themselves out. BAA started buying up land between 2005-2010, so it was very clear that there would be an expansion. The most recent expansion was announced in 2009 and people went to court to block it. The expansion cleared legal obstacles in 2020. The people who will need to be moved, were well aware of the expansion when they moved in. They accepted the risk. New international airports are no further away from the city core than Heathrow is. I have been traveling the world for work and know that long travel to an airport just isn't viable. There are no suitable alternative locations within 50 km of London. The expense of having to travel more than an hour to an airport kills distant locations.
  6. Ok. Congratulations on your not being a part of the majority of male US nationals who are obese. Yes, the USA is "big" and yes it has buying power. No one has ever denied, nor ignored that. However, the US economy DEPENDS on several factors which you either do not know of or appreciate the importance of. - Access to low cost raw materials and commodities. It can be basic metals or softwood lumber. The USA does not have the capacity to replace these commodities. What happens to US farms if they can no longer access low cost Canadian potash? It is the most important ingredient of fertilizers and without it, US agriculture will not be able to have efficiency of production and in some case be unable to grow crops. The USA was once an energy provider to China. No more. China is purchasing its oil and gas from Canada now. - The US economic driver is its SERVICES. The sale of foreign services is what propels and supports the US economy. Unlike commodities or manufactured goods, foreign markets can disengage much faster and much easier from US based service providers. No one needs the Bank of America, or Chase or Wells Fargo, or even MasterCard. There are alternatives. When the USA imposed financial restrictions on Russia, the country avoided the sanctions because there are alternative financial services. It isn't easy, but it can be done. Look at Thailand and it is non US based financial services companies who are now losing market share. Union Pay has 56% +of the world's credit card market now. It is 100% Chinese state owned. Lineman Rabbit Pay is an indirect subsidiary of Japan's SoftBank. JCB is Netherlands based. Thailand relies on non US financial service providers. There are not yet actual tariff deals. There are working agreements. The Japanese and South Korean "agreements" have been interpreted differently by those countries and the USA. Trump says they will invest $billions in the USA, but the commitments are just words. The EU tariff deal is not yet approved by the EU. The USA doesn't have a tariff agreement with Canada, and Canada is its largest export market. Yes, the USA is collecting Tariffs now. Whether it will be able to push these countries around in 3-5 years is something else. You are oblivious to the changes that are coming, just as you are oblivious to the fact that the US consumer will be paying the tariffs. If the USA could have replaced the imports, it would have done so long ago. It's a basic as knowing that there are not enough sawmills or storage or processing capacity including labor to replace Canadian softwood imports. The USA cannot generate low cost electricity, which is why it purchases it from Canada. US consumers may very well see a 10% -15% export tariff added to their imported electricity and it would still be more cost effective than US sourced electricity. The USA purchases critical pharmaceutical medications from the EU because it is not cost effective to manufacture them in the USA etc.
  7. How would they decide? Hamas refused to have an election. The PLA refused to have an election. The people who rule now, do so by threats, intimidation and violence. There is no claim of starvation of the Palestinian Authority zone.
  8. Where? No one will agree to the loss of greenspace or farmland. An airport has to be close to a population center and have transportation links. LHR is maxed out and needs to expand. The only possible tempmoption is to try and limit LHR to the widebodies, and to try and move more traffic to Gatwick. Perhaps most of the LCC flights can be moved there, RyanAir, easy Jet, etc. Luton and Stansted are not particularly popular and are in armpit zones. London City could handle some more domestic and EU traffic, but people complain now as it is.
  9. There is no evidence that 12 or 13 year old girls were implicated. The claims of women that they were 14 years old when they worked as prostitutes was not proven. I do not doubt that there were underaged females entertaining men in return for compensation and an opportunity to live the high life. However, the 17 year olds who did this knew what they were doing, just as the teenagers who work the sex districts in Thailand know what they are doing. It does not make it right, nor excuse the activity. However, they consented to the activity and certainly enjoyed the money and the perks of servicing disgusting men old enough to be their grandfathers and fathers..
  10. Why and how? She is not a violent criminal and presents no threat to society at large. She was previously held at a minimum security prison in Florida, that was mixed gender and contained some violent offenders. She was sent there because the all women facilities for non violent offenders were filled up. Now she is at similar minimum security facility in Texas that is only women and does not have violent offenders. Where is the fix? Inmates are moved from facility to facility during the course of their detention. She is still in prison and she is still in the Federal prison system. At age 63 she does not present much of a risk to the general public.
  11. The irony of it too. Don't the armchair socialists constantly decry the UK and France for the colonial designs in the region after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, and their response in 1956 when Egypt nationalized the Suez Canal and tossed the Europeans out? And now, the UK and France are hailed as champions of arab sovereignty?
  12. I am surprised that the RTAF was so cost conscious. The public information is that this purchase, along with support equipment, spare parts, and training, was US$143 million. (US$17.875 million per aircraft). I wonder how they will be equipped. The manufacturer says; The aircraft can carry a variety of laser-guided and GPS-guided weapons, as well as guided and unguided rockets. It can also be fitted with a gunpod and it is equipped for night vision goggle. operations.
  13. Unfortunately, they are. Many of the "civilians" are in fact genuine combatants. They engage in hostilities and are not in uniform. Others work in logistics, command and control, and in the Hamas network of operations. "Children" are used as combatants. Surely, you will not deny the that Hamas used an extensive network of camps to train Gazans as young as 8 to use weapons. The documentation is readily available. Hamas was very proud of its training camps and allowed them to be photographed. Yes, there will be genuine non combatants who will be injured and who will die. This is intentional on the part of Hamas because they know that such casualties will upset people like you. If they could put10,000 starving children on show for the cause, they would. For now, they will use children with chronic diseases and of clans who are opposed to Hamas and who have been intentionally starved, for their propaganda photos. There is a reason why some of the clan factions have taken up arms against Hamas and are guarding aid convoys against the Hamas backed looters.
  14. The photo is not of a "starving" child.
  15. Is there anything to support this claim, aside from the above article that has no sources? I get it that the economic migrants are a crisis and that there are genuine concerns. However, I have the impression that some of this information is put out there to cause conflict. I saw it when the Conservatives were in power and their efforts to deport people were sabotaged. And I see a similar pattern here. From my perspective, it isn't Tory or Labor, but outside interests trying to turn the UK against each other.
  16. Vicky Pollard goes out for fine dining.
  17. Lovely sentiments. Do you support Israelis not being forced to to leave their homes on the Israeli side of the Gaza border because of missile and rocket attacks and the threat of visits from murderers? Gaza would launch rocket and missile attacks on a daily basis.
  18. And your assertion is still faulty, because it does not accept market reality. If there was a market for the vehicle, they would be built in or assembled in Thailand for the local market. The reason the Ranger is manufactured in Thailand is because there is a viable market for the vehicle. If Ford was going to sell the F250 it would need to maintain a parts inventory and dealers would need the training and service equipment. It just isn't viable on a small number of sales. It is why Ford did not sell several models or configurations of its vehicles in markets like Canada, despite its proximity to the Canadian market and the previous absence of tariffs.
  19. Are you really this oblivious to reality? It works both ways. The US trade deficit is now growing, USA exports have decreased $279.0 Billion –4.0%° as of May and is still dropping. The world is starting to avoid US products. It is a trend that will grow, despite the hollow claims of increased foreign investment in the USA. The US economy is driven by Services, not manufacturing. If not for services, the US deficit would be double or more than what it is now. The Hinrich Foundation in its commentary last April points out that services exports now not only are worth US$8 trillion a year but growing at more than three times the pace of goods. The US exports more services to the world than the other way round, and has done so for most of the last 30 years. The United States has run surpluses on its services trade balance unbroken every year since the US Bureau of Economic Analysis published its first data point for the sector in 1999. America’s services trade surplus against the world stood at US$295 billion last year, up 6% year-on-year and rising since 2021. The world can and will take action to cut back on the use of US services, and this is much easier to do than it is with manufacturing. There is an ongoing disengagement from the US financial system. It will take time, but once lost, it will not come back. Trade works both ways, and it is the USA that is bullying some countries after it forced those countries to interweave their economies with the USA.
  20. You are far too generous in the assumption that the Thai media was truthful.
  21. Considering the fact that the driver did not run away and instead called EMS, that does suggest that this isn't the typical Thai driver. He may very well have been blameless if the U turn was allowed. A big truck like that has to slow down to do the turn, so the motorcyclist would have had some warning.
  22. Or maybe that's where he thinks the cheese comes from?
  23. Well, you can watch Trump's announcement. He basically said just that.
  24. Mr. Robinson has not been charged with any crime and was reportedly attacked by a violent thug. Quite a different circumstance than the violent mane who head butted another person (a Pakistani muslim victim) and who asaulted multiple police officers and who reportedly menaced other people. Although he did not have any criminal convictions, allegations of previous criminal activity was not allowed as evidence. It took 150+ days for the CPS to bring charges, and it was only because of public pressure. The legal counsel and community activist who first represented the two assailants first presented them as innocent victims, which the public accepted at face value. Even now, the convicted violent criminal is attempting to present himself as a victim.
