Altercation Turns Violent: Englishman and wife injured in Knife Duel

It's all in the Buddhist holy scriptures. -
The recently reopened "Tony " gym at South Pattaya road/3rd road intersection is basically empty most of the time. It's at a noisy busy intersection ,so not the cleanest air to breathe there. 120 Baht a day pass. Never seen more than 2 or 3 people working out there.Sometimes it's completely empty.

Need onward ticket asap! Who to buy from?
thecyclist replied to Dorian999's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
One of onward ticket companies gives you the option of a booking that is valid for 2 weeks. That should be sufficient for an e-visa application. -
Uttered from the largest bubble of fascist retards ever created. That bubble feeds on itself. Stupid attracts stupid, and grows dumber in the process. It's so much easier to be a moron. You don't have to read books, reason and use your intelligence. You just have to blurt out what pops into your head, which is dictated by your pettiness, your xenophobia, your frustrations, your hatred, your lack of education and mental abilities. The orange one embodies all this, and is a magnet for his fellow deplorables. Aristotle was right ,freedom and democracy are impossible in a society of uneducated members, that are guided by passion, not by reason. The USA, therefore, is ineligible for a truly free and democratic system. Maybe it deserves the orange retard.

People Equally Divided Over Anti-Thaksin Protests Erupting: NIDA Poll
thecyclist replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
What long-term effect does anything ultimately have? We all gonna die,and the whole universe is ultimately going to either explode in one giant supernova or end in an eternal total, cold entropic inertia. Two answers to that question that Camus asked in the "Myth of Sisyphus : 1)Yours, do nothing because in the end it's all pointless anyway, which followed to it's logical conclusion would lead to suicide. Or 2.Camus answer/also the Buddha's answer:focus on the here and now, try to do your best in improving whatever you are capable of improving, do your part in enlightening your fellow creatures, and let the universe do what it has to do. -
No, I don't think that. Cats actually love the "teasing ".Dangle something in front them, they will paw it, and play with it. So do puppies. There are 2 ways of teasing, a playful one, and a try to make angry one. The second falls under cruelty towards animals. The same with people,a harmless joshing around or tease to humiliate. Huge differences Language can be ambiguous, a point you seem to have overlooked in order to feel "righteous outrage ".If that is what makes your day, be my guest.

Perfect. But at what cost?

Where was that, and did you have to stay overnight or was it done on an outpatient basis? It seems that government hospitals require you to spend a night in the hospital (in Vietnam 2 nights),while all private hospitals ,in Thailand and Vietnam, let you go home the same day. I am trying to find an exception.

People Equally Divided Over Anti-Thaksin Protests Erupting: NIDA Poll
thecyclist replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Not quite. Massive street protests have resulted in the toppling of authoritarian regimes. Ask General Suchinda, who was toppled by street protests in 1992. Of course, this is a new generation of Thais, glued to their devices, Tiktok and their influencers, a lethargic nation. Also, it is not enough to just have a few thousand or tens of thousands demonstrating.Back then you had a million or more hitting the streets, paralyzing Bkk.It can be done, and it has been done. But maybe not with this generation. -
Social Media Uproar Over New Sanam Luang Sign Showing Two Foreign Women
thecyclist replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Well, my comment is ,of course, partly tongue in cheek. But only partly. Decades of living here have taught me, that there is one law for Thais ,who can be very litigious when it comes to their reputation/profit/face, and one for non-Thais. Thais suing farangs and fellow Thais for defamation is a common occurrence, so is violence in regard to loss of face. Never heard of a farang suing a fellow farang in Thailand for loss of face. -
If you don't like it Leave ! Root canal
thecyclist replied to georgegeorgia's topic in Health and Medicine
Absolutely not. I have been to some really bad dentists in BKk and Pattaya in the distant past. Back then, I was a dental cheap charley. Having had really bad teeth all my life, something I inherited from my parents-bless them-I have spent more time in dental chairs than most of you. Run through dozens of dentists, some really bad ones among them,in half a dozen countries. I eventually settled on one in Pattaya, to which I have been going for 20 years. I also found a good one in Vietnam, where I have been spending most of my time in recent years. -

Sure, you can defame, insult fellow farangs to your heart's content. Do the same to Thais, especially influential Thais, and you are looking at hefty fines and a nice vacation in the slammer.. -

thecyclist replied to georgegeorgia's topic in Health and Medicine
Had lots of root canals and crowns down in Bangkok and Pattaya, and recently in Vietnam. In Pattaya it shouldn't be more than 12000 Baht for root treatment plus ceramic crown. They do professionel work in Vietnam, too.And it's significantly cheaper than Thailand. The crowns come with a warranty. The more expensive they are, the longer the warranty. -
Certainly quicker. I was at the Banglamung public hospital to ask about cataract surgery .Their "queue " is 2 years. I am not making this up. They referred me to a hospital in Sri Racha.

No, it isn't. The target is farang, not Thai. So no defamation took place.
