There is certainly a ton of material from the J6 committee that DOJ can use in the trial. For example, the attorneys who told Trump that his efforts were illegal. You seem confused about the Presidential Records Act, which explicitly states that former presidents may not retain documents from their administration. Trump was not charged with retention of all the documents he took to Mar-A-Lago, only those containing Defense information. Retention of such documents is prohibited by the Espionage Act.
