One of my pet peeves is TV reporting on elections by young reporters. Since they haven't reported on elections before, they have no background to provide context. Reporting on the Iowa caucuses is rife with rookie reporters marveling that the candidates are ramping up their campaigns, as if that doesn't happen for every election. Since the MAGA posters here are low information types, they also lack context and get all excited about early polls.

The Civil War insurrectionists who were barred from office by the 14th Amendment were never convicted of sedition. No one who was ever disqualified by the 14th Amendment was ever convicted before they were disqualified. The Supreme Court really needs to fix this.

The email issue was minor, and would not have affected the Carter Page warrant. The real issue is that Carter Page was a CIA informant, which really screwed things up for everyone.
