Thailand Pass Is Up And Running
Danderman123 replied to ubonjoe's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
To summarize: Only a fraction of TP applications have been processed to date. There doesn’t seem to be a clear rationale in the order of apps to be processed. Proximity of flight date does not seem to be a factor. Many apps seem to be processed automatically, with the QR code arriving almost instantly. If a confirmation email arrives without a quick subsequent QR code, you may be out of luck. You either get an immediate QR code or maybe never. We didn’t see a lot of November 1 apps processed on November 2. No one seems to know why some apps are selected for immediate automatic processing. There was a suggestion that stripping out everything from a vaccine cert but the QR code did the trick, but not for everyone. Of course, people are submitting duplicate applications, which jam up the system. There doesn’t seem to be a way for the processing system to scan for duplicates, if the user inputs spaces after the passport number. -

I never went to a consulate to get a COE. -
I’m sorry this confuses you, I was just using the numbers your fellow anti-Vaxxer posted. I can’t vouch for his numbers. What is uncontested is that vaccination reduces infection by about 90%. in case you were wondering, the number of hospitalized vaccinated individuals in the US is less than one percent, compared with the unvaccinated, in some areas. Vaccination saves lives.

I see those on Lazada all the time, 500 GB for 50 baht.

Katia Bruxvoort and colleagues report that the vaccine efficacy against infection with delta was moderately lower than against non-delta variants, at 86.7% versus 90.4 to 98.4%. However, the efficacy against hospitalization following delta infection was as high as 97.6%. Let’s see some of your research ….

So 32,000 applicants have their plans held up, and 6,000 people got lucky. I am seeing some people with flight dates a month away getting instant approvals, and people flying soon have nothing but a confirmation email. Generally, if you get a confirmation email, but not instant approval, your application is in the ether. 10,000 apps on first day, only 400 approvals. so, it’s 10,000 apps filed every day, 1500 approvals. Sounds like a 7 day turnaround to me.

It depends on whether you need a visa to enter Thailand. the answer to the second question is: yes, and the window is your flight schedule. -

What type of vaccine cert did you use? -

What I am coming around to is: if you get a confirmation email, and a QR code, your app was processed automatically. if you get a confirmation email, but no immediate QR code, your app is being processed manually, and is in Purgatory. why some apps are processed automatically is a mystery. -

Did you receive a confirmation email, and then a QR code? When is your flight date? -

To be clear, you re-submitted an application today, and received an immediate QR code? When is your flight date? Based on today’s comments, there is almost a direct correlation between receiving a confirmation email and NOT receiving a QR code, almost as if the system thinks the confirmation email IS the QR code. -

I did some checking. People are receiving QR codes with no relation to immediacy of their flight date, ie, people flying at the end of the month are getting QR codes now. -

My hypothesis is that the system is programmed to automatically process apps with a EU vax certificate.
