The numbers in the US are similar Covid only killed 250,000 under 65. I am sure that number doesn't bother you. I personally would worry about a disease that killed that many people, but that's just me.

There does not seem to be conclusive evidence for the origin of Covid. Any natural origin of the virus could have been conveyed via the lab and subsequently accidentally released. On the other hand, there didn't seem be an outbreak among lab workers prior to people getting sick near the wet market. One thing is sure: the government was surprised by the outbreak, and didn't have early knowledge of the nature of the virus. And there is a scientific consensus that the virus was not bioengineered.

You seem uninformed about the seriousness of Covid. It doesn't just kill the old and the weak.

Pattaya was jammed last night. The only available Bolt was charging 400 baht. Farangs were walking to the fireworks from Jomtien. Baht buses were overloaded. a total madhouse.

I understand that Thailand is a hub for recycling old laptops, but I am having a hard time finding any used laptop batteries. I suspect that there are mountains of these somewhere around Bangkok, but have no idea how to get my hands on the batteries. I recycle the cells inside the batteries, but my usual sources are running dry.

I have a very small solar system in my condo, sized so the meter won’t run backwards. It’s intended to reduce my electric bill, not eliminate it. But, I do have a battery powerbank set up that charges constantly. If my AC mains fail (which often happens when it rains), I have a manual switch which diverts solar power to my off-grid inverter. I can then manually connected my refrigerator and lights to the off-grid inverter for basic needs.

A standard grid tie inverter requires AC power to operate. If the AC power fails, the inverter shuts down, same as your TV.

Getting back to the topic, I have already accomplished much more than I ever expected, I made my mark on history, making commercial space launch possible in the US. and along the way, I founded one of the biggest new aerospace companies, I rented the Mir space station, and am starting a new company. I knew Elon Musk when he was just a millionaire. So, if I waste my time enjoying young ladies in Thailand, that’s a just reward. I have done my part.

I ordered some of the 4x250x4 wood as shown above, thinking it was a 4x4 (ie 100 mm X 100 mm). They delivered four 1” beams bundled together. I guess they don’t sell real 4x4s.

To summarize this topic: The Apollo moon landings were fake because a film director who had nothing to do with the moon landings allegedly said they were fake. And, cameras don’t work in space. We are getting closer to the point where people will return to the landing sites. I guess even that won’t convince the die hards.
