How is it that people don’t seem to get the quite simple concept of ‘early doors’ and always use it out of context - ‘early doors’ only applies to going home earlier than one would normally as in ‘did you have a late one last night?’ ‘No, early doors for me’

Why does having to prove US citizenship disenfranchise the poor? More like it will disenfranchise undocumented people ‘living under the radar’ who should have no right to vote. Even if they are US citizens they must have something to hide - maybe not paying tax or open arrest warrants etc

Living in HK and receiving since my 66th last Sept - I get mine paid into UK First Direct account. You have to provide your UK bank details in the Remarks section of the form in lieu of your local account. The form is a ball ache as it asks for all home addresses, employers, dates etc since starting employment - also PITA sending off original of birth certificate (more so if sending from Thailand) but it was returned in good time… Can’t imagine HMRC sending TBT so assume your Thai bank will make the exchange. Also think about submitting UK tax return for 2024-2025 next Jan if you are nearing or over your UK personal allowance (12,520 sovs)…

Why would an insurance scheme designed for Thai people cater for farangs and even if it did it would be the most basic medical care - most Thais also have their own medical insurance so they can access the private system...
