  1. It's very simple in the context of the post I replied to. That post claims Muslims had no interest in a two-state solution.
  2. Yes, I know (they got use of Saudi airspace just this year). Should have been 'flew', or 'used to fly'. The point was that they could use the older, longer route, thus not having to deal with that many countries. I've no idea as to the 9 vs. 4 thing. My guess is that maybe they have better ties/agreements with some countries and thought it would expedite things. Another option is they are reluctant to fly over countries which might get involved in the fighting by the time the evacuation commenced.
  3. Arab Peace Initiative https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_Peace_Initiative Learn your facts and history.
  4. If you post something, as your opinion, then it is to en extent 'about you'. You now focus solely on Palestinian children. Don't recall you having that much faux compassion expressed a few days earlier, when Hamas decided to massacre Israeli children. No issues with Hamas urging Palestinians to remain in harm's way. No...it's all 'Israel Bad' for you.
  5. What you 'say' assumes all Gazans are blind, all fully support the Hamas and so no. On some of interviews conducted with fleeing Gazans, some have the courage (or enough rage) to directly blame Hamas for their current plight. Not instead of their hatred and issues with Israel - just more complicated than your simplistic view.
  6. Lame. Carrying out a deliberate attack, planned and trained for months, specifically aimed at killing civilians is not quite the same as what the IDF does. There's no serious source claiming this. That was my original point. Had Hamas limited his attack to the IDF bases overrun, they'd get the same results with less of a backlash. Going after civilians was a choice.
  7. Nope. Cook holds extreme, one-sided views. There's nothing impartial about him. If you ever met him you'd understand. Same as some posters on here, but more into it. Obsessed, even.
  8. He's welcome to hold alternative views - I just find the despicable. I think that's allowed. What you find disgusting is common sense. As in, acknowledging that's not quite what was said, and that visiting USA officials commented directly on the atrocities as being worse than what they saw from Daesh.
  9. El Al regularly flies the southern route - crossing over the Bay of Bengal, and from there to the Red sea and northwards. Takes a bit longer, that's all. Other countries seem to manage evacuation operations.
  10. "The only big picture I see is dead Palestinian children." And herein lie your issues. Is your memory so impaired that you already forgot what just led to Israel bombing the Gaza Strip? Or did them Israeli children had it coming? Someone in Israel is a nutter. Sure. Let's put it aside that you don't bother to say whom, but expected. Hamas attacking Israel knowing the consequences all too well - apparently perfectly rational and acceptable as far as you are concerned. Lebanon is defenseless, and broke. Hezbollah is not. Learn the difference. Lebanon has little wish to get dragged into this by Hezbollah. But again, your 'logic' seems to offer that it's alright for Hezbollah and Iran to threat Israel, but not vice versa.
  11. I have already commented that I find these attempts to minimize Hamas's atrocities through focusing on this detail or that, repulsive. There's no shortage of evil associated with this attack. That you, and other posters on here keep harping on it, despite there being gruesome pictures out there, demanding they be posted on here or else all of what is claimed is untrue - that's just vile. There are, naturally, inaccurate reports - that's quite normal for a battle zone. To discount everything, or to condone and minimize what Hamas did - that's already a choice. Apparently, you've made yours long ago.
  12. Johnathan Cook holds extreme, one-sided views on the conflict. Try to read my reply to poster in the context of his usual content on these topics.
  13. There's no information about him being a combatant, or even a reservist. Doubt he'll be sent anywhere near Gaza if this is a mental issue, probably same if it's a legal one too.
  14. How do you suppose them 'other Hamas militants' to 'join them in the next weeks'? Slit their own throats? Realize the error of their ways? What? Would it be preferable to conduct the upcoming Israeli incursion when civilians are around?
  15. Sure. Because nothing happened that triggered the Israeli attack. Just came out of the blue with no reason. On the other hand, Hamas's barbarian attack is to be understood in context. Try harder.
  16. If the population routinely grows, there is no genocide or ethnic cleansing, or the rest of the hyperbole you push. It's not too complicated. Why keep asking 'questions' you received answers for dozens of times? On this topic, on past topics. It's impossible you're not aware of how things are, and of the reasoning behind actions taken. It's pretty much on all news reports as well. No, what you try to do is troll and run interference. Nothing more.
  17. I have read your posts and my comments stand. Regardless of your current obsession, Chomsky is not the topic of this discussion. The only 'context' is that you can't (or won't) formulate your own thoughts on the situation, and rely on copy/pasted bits of other views. I'm quite familiar with Chomsky's writings (both on linguistic and the political matters), thanks. I suggest you address points made by other posters on your own merit, without the crutch of name-dropping.
  18. I kinda doubt you missed the many video clips of the mass evacuation, many of them featuring able bodied males. Not everyone is keen on Hamas ideology, or has a death wish. If your comment was anywhere near true, you'd see more Palestinians heeding Hamas's calls to remain in place and wait for the Israeli incursion. You have no insights into what Palestinian think beyond what's shown on AlJazeera's somewhat biased reports, and your wishful thinking. Again with the 'nothing to lose' nonsense? Not everyone wants to die for the cause, even if you prescribe it from behind the safety of thousands of miles and a computer screen. If they surrender, they'll be imprisoned, that's about it.
  19. Sounds like you'll go for any bit of nonsense, if it matches your prejudice and AlJazeera reports.
  20. UK citizens were murdered, UK citizens were abducted and taken hostage, and the are also UK citizens living, working or whatever in the Gaza Strip. But you already knew that. It is doubtful that the UK will actually get much involved in the actual fighting, though. "2 million people to death" More of your constant hyperbole and hysteria.
  21. There is no 'ethnic cleansing' of the Gaza Strip. Israel's actions are not based solely on what you claimed. Your lame attempts to troll, minimize, and deny what happened are obnoxious, but expected.
  22. Other countries seem to manage things more efficiently. Apparently not many issues with military aircraft either: Evacuations during the 2023 Israel–Hamas war https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evacuations_during_the_2023_Israel–Hamas_war
