Virtually all earthquakes recorded in Thailand are under magnitude 6.0, although significant seismic activity in far-away locations like Indonesia or Myanmar can be felt in areas with soft soil like Bangkok.

I was on the Bang Na expressway yesterday when it happened, I got to my destination only to see thousands of workers evacuated into the streets from the companies in the area. I managed to find the GM of the comapny I was visiting to ask WTF was gooing on, he told me there was an earthquake. I got straight back into my car and headed back to chonburi.... on land based roads that had no overhead expressways !
