ozimoron replied to webfact's topic in World News
Yeah, no danger at all with the nuclear power stations at Zaphorista and Japan aren't perturbed at all that most of their nuclear power station remain offline while they dump megalitres fo radioactive waste water into the sea. Nuclear power plants are fine. -

Explain all you like. Until you can put up a cogent argument as to why that's not true I'll stick to my well considered convictions. -

I just did some quick calculations and figured that it would hold approximately 18,000 cows ???? -
The Saudis have become used to living high on the hog and are friendly with Russia and anyone sympathetic with Russia (did you see what I did there?). They can see that oil demand is weakening and are desperate to maintain oil prices. Oil prices didn't exactly moon after this announcement.

No there isn't. Germany has full stock piles of natural gas and LPG and have you see the prices for nat gas lately? If not, they are at long term lows. The fact that Germany can feel comfortable in removing these last power stations bolsters my point. -
Sure not but it isn't really a big deal. Every country including the US still trades with Russia.

BLM Protester’s Killer’s Posts Revealed After Texas Guv Floats Pardon

Right, "there's good people on both sides". The republicans are all about racism. That's their sole interest in life. Every day we see evidence that they have no policy other than dog whistling to racists. The MTG story yesterday was just another case in point. Trump threatening black prosecutors yet another. It isn't both sides, the left aren't very often racist. You don't have to be racist to vote for republicans but most racists do. I'm not trolling, it;s time to call out these scum every time they show their hand. It's also why they're getting thrashed in the elections and polls. -

It'll be less money soon. Oil is facing demand destruction due to renewables and an upcoming recession will see lower demand as well.

Turnbull, of the conservative Liberal Party, railed against Murdoch for empowering former President Donald Trump and radicalizing his supporters into storming the U.S. Capitol — and opened up about how Murdoch, who also runs right-wing outlets in his country, worked to remove him from power. "Once he saw that Trump could win, he thought, 'I can have a guy in the White House that will take my calls and suck up to me and flatter me,'" added Turnbull. Yes, it is ideology, I think his son is more generally ideological and right wing than Rupert. https://www.rawstory.com/malcolm-turnbull-murdoch/

That's unlikely. CPI and PPI inflation are still over 5%, well above the target 2%. We may never see 2% again. The market is pricing in another 0.25% in May and that may be followed by a pause but a cut is some months away. They'd rather see a little more pain now than a lot if they get it wrong and rates continue to rise. Despite recent turmoil within the banking sector, markets still expect the U.S. central bank to raise interest rates during its next two-day meeting on May 2-3, with 60.7% of traders pricing in a 25-basis-point hike. source: above link to Fox.
