  1. In walking street in Pattaya tonight I'd be happy to buy you one!
  2. If his agenda is pointing out that others have an agenda I guess you're right.
  3. Not to put too fine a point on it but only an absolute idiot would not know that the Russians were keen to take hostages and that getting caught with cannabis was 100% certainly going to put her in the situation she now finds herself in. It's unfortunate that she got 9 years for this but that was always going to be predictable as well. The US State Department had warned against travel to Russia. She was motivated by greed at a time she should have pulled her head in. I have no doubt that many had counselled her to do just that.
  4. If ASEAN Now think it is then that's good enough for me.
  5. There isn't one in any country. It is possible that a mass shooting can and has occurred in Thailand but they will never see a pattern of them . There isn't a cult machine gun loving community that conflates its love of assault rifles with racial animus and grievance, backed by religion. Furthermore, Thailand is blessed not have the Murdoch press pouring gasoline onto the fire.
  6. Yes, of course. You're just trying to smear the left with made up stuff as usual. What you are doing is a well known tactic called projection. It's disgusting. Like I said, you'd sack any editor that didn't report it regardless of sex, ethnicity or sexual orientation. The real issue here is why was she so stupid as to smuggle dope into Russia when she should have known they were scapegoating Americans. Why did she, as such a high profile person, even go there. The main basis for reporting this was her high profile.
  7. link? I believe he could. While there may be some folks around who could theoretically stop him, I don't think any would try.
  8. To be fair, ALL media are reporting this and you would sack any editor that didn't.
  9. Are you sure that his dress code is at all offensive to Thais under THIS circumstance? For a start, his girlfriend didn't tap him on the shoulder. Secondly, a respected Thai publication had no qualms about publishing this photo without reference to his dress code. The dress code thing is wise when dealing with authorities but I think that's as far as it goes.
  10. It had probably been happening for years with incident. Then, one day... It reminds me when I took an job as an office johnny in Sydney at age 19. I was on the 12th floor and looked out the window to see a rigger riding on a steel beam, one hand on the cable and no safety harness. I came from a country town and this was a shock but even then I understood this to be highly dangerous.
  11. I see that this issue falls equally on both sides. It is non political. There are plenty of people on both sides who share the same opinions. Half say she is a seasoned international traveller (who has a manger) and the other half say she is an idiot who is being scapegoated. I'm a lefty and you can read my comments. I'm not an outlier.
  12. It's just an angle. Editors are always looking for the angle to get clicks (reads).
  13. On Friday, The Daily Beast reported that former President Donald Trump is now asking supporters on his email list to chip in money to help him fight his lawsuit against CNN. This comes in spite of the fact that the lawsuit, announced last week, has not yet actually materialized and Trump has not taken any formal steps to initiate legal action against the cable network. "Instead of court documents being filed, Trump appears to be more preoccupied with begging followers to send in money to 'support' the so far non-existent legal action," reported Zachary Petrizzo. https://www.rawstory.com/trump-fundraising-2657816685/
  14. How is a professional sportswoman even taking cannabis? What about anti-doping in sport? She knew there wouldn't be any tests in Russia while playing for the big rubles? I have spent my entire adult life searching my bags before travelling. No sympathy at all.
  15. Good on him. A little respect goes a long way to combatting xenophobia.
  16. Bill Barr, ever the coward is trying to slither out from under a snake's belly. Pity he didn't have a conscience when the was AG. CBS News correspondent Catherine Herridge interviewed Barr after the DOJ subpoenaed former White House counsel Pat Cipollone and Patrick Philbin, his deputy. "And I didn't think they were paying that much attention to the higher-ups and were sort-of leaving it to the congressional committee," Barr explained. "But this suggests to me that they're taking a hard look at the group at the top, including the president and the people immediately around him who were involved in this." https://www.rawstory.com/trump-bill-barr-2657816677/
  17. would you eat dog if you and your kids were literally starving?
  18. The packs of dogs did not get bigger because someone was feeding them.
  19. Were Nixon's statements to China about Taiwan not a disgrace? How Nixon’s fabled trip to China, 50 years ago this week, led to today’s Taiwan crisis “Taiwan = Vietnam = trade-off,” Nixon wrote at one point, outlining his thinking. “[Taiwan’s] status is determined — one China, Taiwan is part of China. [We] won’t support Taiwan independence.” What Nixon and Kissinger hoped to get from China was help in ending the Vietnam War — that is, help in persuading North Vietnam to make a peace settlement. https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2022-02-21/richard-nixon-henry-kissinger-trip-to-china-50th-anniversary-taiwan-vietnam-war
  20. The MAGA nutters are still on the case there. The machines were the way the Dems beat Trump. LOL. Now Australia has been overtaken by the voting machines as well. spoiler alert: Australia has never used voting machines. MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell on Friday brought his personal crusade against voting machines to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), where he uncorked a conspiratorial rant claiming that the voting machines had completely overtaken dozens of foreign countries. "This is very important you hear me on this," Lindell told the CPAC crowd during his address. "Over 54 countries have now been taken by the machines or are getting taken by the machines! And you never get to go back!" "Venezuela, Australia, they're gone!" he exclaimed. "You don't get to vote out the machines once they're there!" . https://www.rawstory.com/mike-lindell-cpac-2657814712/?traffic_source=Connatix
  21. That's half the story. The bulk of desktop and laptop systems are Windows while servers are almost all linux. The main purpose of viruses is ultimately to steal passwords etc so as to steal money so they tend to target the local machines operated by an idiot person rather than a server which is usually locked down tightly. Viruses require admin access or a password to install on linux but Windows leaves this barrier open so viruses can self install easily.
  22. That's not true. The permissions setup is completely different where linux will not allow ordinary users to install software without a password and that includes malware. Linux is less vulnerable than windows and about the same as mac OS which is also a debian linux.
  23. we don't need the corruption that comes with incumbency. I'm not accusing Pelosi, just long political terms in general.
  24. How is coke head halfway competent?
