  1. That's it? I've heard horror stories. Sounds like you got a lucky break. How were you tested?
  2. My wifes family have done that every year. I've never seen them actually harvest anything. Nothing else to do in Issan.
  3. Yes, the shop has a myriad of Chinese knockoffs (apple,Samsung, etc) that are priced so ridiculously low as to be obviously....... Cheap Chinese knockoffs. If it's to good to be true, it probably is. Unfortunately.
  4. There paid upwards of 120,000 baht a month plus a 10,000 baht daily stipend to rubber stamp what ever the Junta/military want. They were all handpicked to toe the line. Unfortunately, I don't think Pita will get the PM role. Democracy in Thailand is far off, if ever.
  5. We always leave the windows open during the day. Outside tempatures hitting 38-42, same as inside. Adding a fan does little but move the stifling air around. If you can sleep comfortably in those ambient tempatures the more power to you. I couldn't.
  6. You should receive a warning first. It's like 3 strikes and your booted off. Perhaps try uninstalling the app and reinstall it and clearing the cache.
  7. No airconditiong? Despite the high costs I would find it difficult to sleep without it. I just suffer through the heat during the day. Can't afford to have Aircon 24/7. This year seems particularly hot on top of the high humidity. Ugh!
  8. Can't blame them. Highway robbery the prices they charge for some subscriptions.
  9. He streamed it while in the UK. Tough rules there in the UK regarding streaming/selling Android boxes. Everyone does it here in Thailand. I think I better put the internet under my wife's name.
  10. Despite the 70.29 import fees you'll be hard pressed to find quality set like that in Thailand for less. However if it's just a gift, you'll easily find something similar "looking" at Global House for much less. But don't expect it to be of any quality and it's lifespan short. It's the thought that counts.
  11. Go and have fun. Whatever you do just don't get talked into moving there. (If you get hitched). Stick to your guns! Issan sucks.
  12. They'll be plenty once she passes.
  13. They don't need to try hard. Thai's know as "ghosts" frequently try to get into Korea for work. ......And just as frequently are deported.
  14. In that case forget about building another house. Just get a nice condo under your name, at least you'll have a roof over your head while litigating the other properties future.
  15. Nothing wrong with asking a question on the forum. But also a good idea to seek professional advice.
  16. I think it's to deal with immigrants from Myanmar fleeing the horrific civil war. They almost sent back over 100 small children. The two Juntas are one in the same. Hopefully they'll all be tossed out soon.
  17. Kinda. Still works. Line's the rage in Thailand.
  18. Ben, why post anything on a forum and just reply with rude and antagonistic insults? You need anti anxiety medicine more than a keyboard.
