  1. Luckily most scammers know I could never afford anything from Villa Market.
  2. Confused is an understatement. I'm suprised there hasn't been more backlash from the common folk. Like COVID everyone is just burnt out on this Junta. Complete idiocy is now the "norm".
  3. Open air garbage dumps and burning trash isn't given a second thought. Nobody seems to realize that its ruined the water supplies in most villages. Batteries, dead animals, paint cans, etc all thrown non discriminantly together.
  4. ... It's also going to be virtually impossible to contest a will signed by the deceased. In the eye's of the court it may look as though you're the one stirring up trouble contesting a will unfortunately.
  5. Whats new. In Thailand two families own Tesco's, Big C's, Makros, and all 7/11's. Monopolies like this there isn't any insensitive to offer lower prices. No competition. Good reason to try and buy your stuff online. Usually cheaper even with delivery. I know our diapers are usually 100 baht cheaper on Lazada than Big C or Tesco's. Big difference.
  6. Same with so many people in this government. Nobody takes responsibility when things go wrong. They'd get more respect when they did. I'm personally upset about the rates and so is everyone else we know. 15% is a big increase especially when there making record profits. These are the things that trigger overthrows. Food and energy increases.
  7. I rarely if ever see people smoking in an outdoor market. I'm in Issan though, perhaps its because cigarettes are too expensive. Before COVID, Chinese tourists would smoke everywhere. In hotels, taxis, malls. Sadly they'll be back.
  8. I personally don't think anything will change. It's much to lucrative to run the government like a personal business for him and his corrupt cronies.
  9. "Prayuth blames press". Oil prices down, record profits for the energy companies. Who else is going to take the blame? These are the things that p*SS off the people so much they may finally overthrow this Junta regime once and for all.
  10. That was a horrible incident. I believe it left of the victim paralyzed.
  11. Yes. You can add extra anything. Lots of daily promotions on there apps. Here's a sample of "Flash Sale" add-ons with TRUE.
  12. Cheaper than the 2 kilometer taxi there probably. Better of having some good, fresh, cush delivered directly to your abode.
  13. Fortunately our house and surroundings are kept tidy. Don't need cats as the locals eat the rats.
  14. It's good to see that fat general waddling about pointing out the obvious.
  15. Wow, I never new that the venom could be that bad without the bite. I've never seen one in our area (NE Thailand). Do they just wander around or hide under rocks. With that said I'll probably stumble on one tomorrow.
  16. I occasionally eat there chicken sandwich. Theres so much salt my tongue swells up. KFC is everywhere up here in Issan. Very popular.
  17. Honestly haven't met anyone who likes any of these candidates. Anutin is pretty much considered a dip**it in our village.
  18. Luckily I've no desires to visit those shi**oles. Political correctness has definitely gone overboard.
  19. More widespread than you would think. "Other counties of note in which it is a criminal offence include the Netherlands, Spain, Morocco, Brunei, Cambodia and Malaysia. There are also several countries without monarchies that apply lèse-majesté in other ways. For example… ..in Denmark it’s treated more as libel" https://www.commisceo-global.com/blog/lese-majeste-cultural-faux-pas-criminal-offence
  20. I haven't seen one here. Probably Bangkok.
  21. I use the app. Theres usually some good deals like free fries or buy 3 hamburgers get one free. Occasionally when I am in a bigger city with a McDonald's I have to indulge. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mcdonalds.mobileapp
