That would not be polite, it would be extremely tactless and rude. -

Yeah the English have far better food You're right...another man of gastronomic sophistication! -
"...the domestic partner laws would give her something". Which laws are those? "...if you are unmarried but living with a Thai partner, your partner may not be entitled to anything at all". https://www.thaicontracts.com/articles/8-thai-law-isn-t-simple/36-foreigners-and-inheritance-in-thailand.html "De-facto informal marriages, common-law marriage or Buddhist marriage or any religious marriage ceremony are not recognized as legal marriages under Thai Civil Law and therefore do not create any legal rights, duties, powers, or responsibilities of husband and wife. Only officially registered marriages entered into the government´s marriage register are recognized as legal and valid marriages in Thailand and will create the rights, duties and responsibilities of husband and wife under Thai family laws". https://www.thaicontracts.com/articles/8-thai-law-isn-t-simple/66-marriage-in-thailand.html#:~:text=De-facto informal marriages%2C common, responsibilities of husband and wife.

Thanks, that is what I wanted to know The land office will probably want to know some details of the property, such as the address, or will it trawl through every single property record on it's books?
-
He is officially recorded as the childs father So a court will have to administer the child's inheritance, if there is any?
-
Yes, no sympathy whatsoever, considering that you have a propensity to report imaginary incidents. "24 dead in Pattaya bus crash", can you update that bizarre, false assertion?
-
Another selfish post from you ! What is "selfish" about asking you to justify reporting in your OP that "24 people were killed in a Pattaya bus crash" when no such incident occurred? That was the only thing on which I commented.
-
What possibility is there of misunderstanding the headline... Tragic Coach Bus Crash in Prachuap Khiri Khan Claims 14 Lives, Multiple Injuries Reported
-
That must be the one that didn't happen in Pattaya and in which 24 people did not die.
-
Another one I witnessed was on the corner... Another one I witnessed... 1. So you witnessed the 24-death bus accident? 2. If you didn't, why are you not telling us where you found the report?
-
Where was the article that you read published that no other sources have, apparently, published?
-
Why, if they weren't legally a couple? Maybe the child would have some rights if he had been officially recorded as the child's father, something that doesn't always happen when the mother is single.

Bit slow on the uptake as usual Lou! and: Considering most of your posts on the forum consists of quoting others and censuring them, a massive hypocritical comment! No, I got the meaning of your pompous post, hence my comment. By the way, my quoting another poster and offering my opinion is not "censuring", what you did is censuring...you may need to look it up.
-
I missed the joke!!! You weren't joking, Croc, if you were, you hid the humour perfectly. You're just trying to wriggle out of your own hideous pomposity.

"Buddhist wedding". If there's no will and they weren't legally married I'd doubt that she would even be entitled to information about his estate, let alone the actual assets, which, I guess, she's hoping to get her hands on.

Whats English? 1500 calories Half the calorific value of "American", then, judging by most side-of-a-house-sized yanks. -
