  1. How can someone overhear someone on a motorbike talking to someone, and determine that it is a relative? Because they heard what was being said.
  2. Why can't you pay?
  3. "Should they even have to say that to supposed adults? Should they have to say what?" There was no mention of alcohol or drinking anywhere in the article.
  4. Counterfeit fags, bought from a Burmese on the street, usually are cheaper.
  5. Why on earth would anybody import cigarettes into Thailand, Why on earth not? I'd guess that they do it because they want to (after the temptation of duty-free shops at the departure airport) and they know that they won't be able to buy their favoured fags in Thailand.
  6. You're right, it happens all the time and it is a piece of cake, just turn up with your new bank passbook, show them lots of money and you'll be out of there in an hour with a Thai ID card.
  7. Really? That'll be useful. I'll have to speak to my local Immigration office about that, they issue Certificates of Residency for B200, that'll save a lot of hassle!
  8. So you're happy to go along with bribery and corruption.
  9. He's referring to legitimate Thai companies, set up in order to trade, legitimately. There are no crackdowns on those arrangements because they are legal. There are crackdowns on Thai companies illegally set up, using nominees, solely to circumvent the Thai land/property-owning laws which is, I think, what you were referencing.
  10. I was just about to agree with you until you killed it with that total b0llocks.
  11. Are you a painter?!
  12. In that case, the UK officers were here as observers, that's all, they were not, officially, part of the investigation.
  13. Invariably? B0llocks, that's a ridiculous, broad brush assertion.
  14. One only wonders that if one assumes that everyone is on less than the minimum daily wage in Thailand...a ridiculous assumption.
  15. You must think that marriage visas are the only way for foreigners to stay in Thailand legally!
  16. No need to be that hard on yourself to point out you shortcomings, no one cares.
  17. The UK police will not get involved in any investigation in Thailand, that is the sole responsibility of the RTP.
  18. No, it won't, the UK police have no jurisdiction to conduct investigations in other countries.
  19. "...is there seriously like the danger here..." Seriously, where like was it like reported that like they both like "died instantly"?
  20. Prove me wrong, Lou. I do not have to, look it up yourself, easy to do or call them.
  21. International Pensions Centre. No, I do not have the AN link.
