  1. So you think making 300 to 500 baht a day as a driver is a great life? You have no idea that taxi drivers generally only make that amount but that wasn't the issue! You said that your job as a salesman was a real job and taxi driving isn't because it doesn't have a wage and isn't "proper". I dispute that nonsense but as you can't justify your claim, you're right, it is pointless your carrying on.
  2. A job that pays a wage or a proper sales job that pays better. So you were a "proper salesman"?! Very much more worthy and "real", salesmen are so well known to be sincere and altruistic. How does the way someone gets paid decide the "realness" of a job, self-employed people not on a regular "wage" don't have real jobs?
  3. It'd be interesting to know what is/was your "real" job that is/was so much more worthy and "real" than that of a taxi driver. Fancy giving it a go here?
  4. Amazing that you assume that is the case for everyone and that you specifically accuse this person of doing that despite the complete absence of anything to back it up.
  5. Well, it's very easy. You pay for the return evelope at the post office 37 baht. Same you do with the 10 baht stamp. But Immigration doesn't provide a return EMS option. My bet is that you got your notification returned the same way everyone else does - normal post using your self-addressed and stamped envelope but with a wasted B37 stamp as you have no way of initiating an EMS return delivery (a higher value stamp does not automatically get EMS service).
  6. Poor education, lack of skills. They can't do real jobs. Taxi driving isn't a real job? What? What's your definition of "a real job", then?
  7. I walk 2km with luggage. The Tik Tok guy probably went looking for a "bad" driver. So what, that's your choice, perhaps he couldn't or just, very reasonably, didn't want to carry the luggage he had? "The Tik Tok guy probably went looking for a "bad" driver". How could he deliberately select a taxi with a problematic meter for his video? Do you really think that he got into every taxi that came along, went for a kilometer to check the meter and if he got one of the huge majority that are ok he got out and did the whole journey again with his luggage until he found one of the very few with compromised meters to record? Ridiculous suggestion.
  8. The teachers follow the curriculum.. which mainly focuses on Thailand... So still not the students' fault that seemed to be the suggestion...as I said.
  9. I do not understand how you can "use EMS both ways" when Immigration send it back? You can send it EMS if you want to pay extra (when only registered is necessary) but you have no control over how it is returned to you by Immigration, do you? The website used to instruct that an ordinary (B10?) postage stamp for return was included with the documents but that seems to be no longer on that list of requirements.
  10. What will he be deported for and where will he be given that nice haircut?
  11. What's that got to do with a haircut?
  12. Uh, no. From the OP... "... or nearly 900,000 US dollars or around 30 million baht..."
  13. No one forces them to do the job and if it sucks that much how come there are tens of thousands of them?
  14. "...ruining the life of a poor driver". Did he identify the driver?
  15. The taxis owners (co-operatives) do not take 50%, they charge a daily rental.
  16. They would be if they used an untampered meter The vast majority of the meters are not tampered with.
  17. No, it's not, I didn't have that problem with the four Bangkok taxis that I used today.
  18. If that's too expensive for you go to a copy shop and pay B45. If you want to use the lawyer's education, expertise and authority that doesn't come free.
  19. What are you suggesting would be the outcome? There have been plenty of complaints about taxis from foreigners to the authorities/ media and there are never any adverse consequences.
  20. An effect of the camera on the type of display, probably.
  21. Ordinary registered post is the only method mentioned on the website... https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/90days-report/ Notification by registered mail (Thailand Post only) Prepare the following documents Photocopy of passport pages with following pages – front page showing name / surname / Passport No., etc. – current visa – last entry stamp of immigration – last extension of visa Photocopy (front-back) of departure card TM.6 (if any) Example Previous notifications of staying over 90 days (If the applicant has been notified before and no travel outside the country). Use only original document Example Notification form TM.47, Completely filled in and signed by the applicant (not another person) Example Envelope with 10 Baht stamp affixed and return address of foreigner for the officer in charge to send back the lower part of form TM. 47 after having received the notification. The send back part must be kept for reference and for future notifications of staying over 90 days. The above mentioned documents (1-5) must be sent by registered mail before the renewal date 15 days to Immigration Office in local area where the foreigner resides. Must keep the evidence of sending the registered mail as evidence until the document is returned.
  22. I'm not weeping, I can use my refunds from my Lazada wallet for purchases on the website! If COD is buggering up your desire to use refunds for purchases, perhaps you should pay another way that doesn't give you self-inflicted problems?
