  1. I find it very hard to believe he was not sent for an autopsy. Yes, I find it very hard to believe that an ambulance would not even have taken him to a hospital.
  2. The farangs that attract that definition are the ones that (appear to loftily) use that word "farlang"!
  3. What makes you think that the finished road surface is going to be 3 ft below the level of your house? The top of the rebar in the drain wall appears to be only inches lower and that will obviously be below the road surface, surely?
  4. "German man dies in Village, procedure?" Inform the German embassy. The police have to be informed also when a foreigner dies here.
  5. Probably because they allowed her to stay without getting payment for the extra days.
  6. One of the snags of running a hotel, surely, the anticipated costs of which would undoubtedly be accounted when the room rate is calculated?
  7. What makes you think that they'll get the boot from here? The pharmacy got the stuff out of his bag and didn't inform the police.
  8. Highly unlikely as they didn't get away with the weed and haven't been reported to the police.
  9. How is the government "fleecing" tourists? You're not seriously suggesting that a B300 tourist fee (if it ever happens) is fleecing, surely? A Revenue Dept questionnaire to Thais and PRs is not fleecing anyone, either.
  10. Not exactly, the RD has issued a questionnaire asking Thais and PRs their opinion on a tax, that's all.
  11. As already recommended, you can't go far wrong with Mr Bag-Fix. Used them several times.
  12. Yes, you did, definitely. Obviously, he asked the question and offered his thanks in anticipation of responses.
  13. As you say, 300 years ago so irrelevant to today but, regardless of that, where have the "Thai moral police" shown their presence? There's no complaints about her in the OP.
  14. Such a fragile people here! How do you work that out when no one's complained about it?
  15. Limit is per day. Which is very practical if you have to transfer say 10 million baht to buy a house... Seller, are you OK if I pay you in daily 49,999 baht installments over the next 7 months? I was responding to a hypothetical comment about facial features being unrecognisable due to an accident and how to transfer to pay the hospital bill. Paying for a house could be done easily with a cashiers cheque issued by your bank.
  16. NDID is not a requirement for the subject of this thread, photo ID for foreigners is, that's all.
  17. That's unfortunate but it's also nonsense. The changes are designed to make online banking safer. What have you done up to now when you've needed a new passbook, a new card or needed to update your passport number?
  18. I can see this thread as an opportunity for those with pink ID cards to say how clever they are!
  19. Exactly right Exactly wrong, there's no suggestion of that being the case.
  20. None, probably. That hoop wouldn't be there if you'd advised the bank of your new passport number.
