  1. advocating crime now. Selling alcohol during those 24 hours would be an offence but is drinking that same alcohol illegal?
  2. That's great if you've got a Thai ID to register with, the rest of us will just have to keep buying the physical tickets from the street vendors, that's not going to stop in the foreseeable future.
  3. For 24 hours, eight of which you'll probably be sleeping?
  4. Because that's the official price that no street vendors stick to because of the price they have to pay their wholesaler.
  5. And that's why I asked if he'd made a typo & lent her $12,000 OR if she'd paid it back at $10,000 pm. There was no typo, it was as he described it, she paid it off early.
  6. No, you would not be right, in general Thais are charged the B100 (or the B220 for 2 price also).
  7. Silly you indeed, he didn't say that her actual repayments were $1000pm, that was just the original agreement's amount. She apparently paid more monthly and paid it off sooner.
  8. As usual, you really don't think that he is being watched and they may want him to make a move, nor that he doesn't know he's a likely suspect and could run regardless of whether there's a publicised warrant or not?
  9. It's there to protect the surface during from factory to installation, it has no other intended use ... If the owner is Thai they'll probably never know.. Guess what? That's what I said, protection! And I managed to say it without including a lame, Thai-bashing insult, either.
  10. You'd be wrong though. Then you were exaggerating! You'd never prefer to live in any prison over that house, I can guarantee that. Five years in any prison that you choose or five years in that house, which would you actually choose?
  11. now we're getting somewhere, you've been to prison? wheel hubs? Wheel hubs? I'm guessing you meant hub caps? Not for either.
  12. Put your hand in your pocket and save your tourist energy and shoe leather... https://www.thaiembassy.com/thailand/opening-a-bank-account-in-thailand
  13. You haven't experienced any prisons, obviously.
  14. Calm down, no one's going to make you live in it.
  15. Someone needs to tell you that she knows and that it's only there to protect the surface until the owner decides to remove it.
  16. I didn't say that you did mention cans...by the way....but it's reasonable to assume that you did mean canned Guinness (particularly in view of the OP that you posted on). I'm sure you aren't looking in supermarkets, or similar, for 'kin kegs.
  17. They're at fault for gambling when it is illegal. What they may have been told by the organisers is irrelevant particularly as there are no legal casinos in Thailand and the Indians would have known that.
  18. "The idea was to pour it yourself in the comfort of your own home..." Er, how, when it's not available canned here?
  19. Canned Guinness is not available in Thailand, don't bother looking. However, cold, draught Guinness is available in hundreds of bars.
  20. You know that draught Guinness is available almost everywhere now, yes? What's so revelatory about bringing some cans here?
  21. "Cheers" is how "cheers" is said in our language, i.e. English.
