  1. 1. Notifications take an age to load They load instantly on my laptop and phone (using Google and Brave). Can't delete the bastards, though! 2. Topics on the RHS won't appear unless I refresh the page every time. Don't see that issue. 3. The font is too small. Yes, it is, even at my usual 125% zoom and it is too feint (grey). 4. It is far from obvious which notifications have been read/not read Not sure about that, the "unread" show as bold font. But the "delete notifications" facility has gone. 5. I have no idea anymore who likes/laughs/agrees/disagrees with any of my comments. Who cares what AN posters think of our comments? There's no prizes, you know! 6. Videos will no longer play. No problem playing videos.
  2. Wholly bombastic and clearly sophomoric. - Checks all the boxes for admittance to the beer bars of Soi Bukhao. Welcome to club Pattaya Strange Nothing in my comment was bombastic and certainly not sophormoric, I think that you need to check a couple of definitions, not to mention your comprehension. Have look at "sardonicism" while you're at it.
  3. Is it? How do you know when no one else seems to!? Where has it been specifically clarified?
  4. I had breakfast with a friend from Yorkshire and he explained the scouser and benefits comment. Sorry, that must be a kick in the crotch "Sorry, that must be a kick in the crotch" Possibly, but only if I was a Scouser. Sorry, that must be a real kick in the crotch.
  5. No it does not, there should be a max age for real, too many of these obese 40 + ladies nowadays, let alone if they get older than that. Yes, it sure does!... "We need a maximal age in Thailand, not a minimal one". My point was that he's advocating no minimal age for sex. Speaks volumes.
  6. Is it legal to pay for sex in Thailand? Since the 1960, prostitution is illegal and criminally prosecutable with prison sentences of up to 20 years. It is estimate that about 100,000 to 400,000 people are sex workers in Thailand. Organizations and activist groups advocating for the rights of sex workers in Thailand have emerged to address these issues. Is paid sex legal in Bangkok? Under the 1996 Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act enacted by Bangkok, prostitution is prohibited. Any person soliciting sex could be fined. Pimps could be fined and imprisoned for up to 10 years. "Is it legal to pay for sex in Thailand?" Yes, the act of simply giving someone money for sex is legal in Thailand (why did you specify Bangkok?). You need to check the definitions according to the current laws. Certain aspects of prostitution are illegal, such as pimping, soliciting, importuning, working in brothels etc. but paying for or receiving money for sex is not illegal... "Any person soliciting sex could be fined. Pimps could be fined
  7. Really? Make up your mind, "specifics" in your first comment and confirmation that you were just speculating in your second post.
  8. That's not been my experience at the airport. It has been my experience at the airports, every time I've entered or left Thailand the IOs have always been able to speak English.
  9. The paid for activity in most cases! No, they're not. Check the Prevention And Suppression Of Prostitution Act B.E. 2539 1. Short time hotels, as an entity, are not illegal, doesn't matter what guests do in the rooms. 2. Paying for, or receiving money for, sex in hotels is not illegal, either.
  10. Most of them who have to deal with the public do.
  11. Presumably you go there? "Presumably"? Based on what? You're, wrongly, assuming that I go there for some reason but it'd be much easier for me to get blown in Bangkok...that aside, what if I did?
  12. What evidence do you have to say she jumped? You might as well claim that she was pushed or anything else that comes into your twisted mind! She went there alone, let in to the closed building by the security guard and I read the full report that was linked... "Initial coordination with the victim’s parents and relatives was carried out at the scene to confirm and investigate the cause of death. The victim’s mother revealed that her daughter had been suffering from depression and had recently argued with her boyfriend. This information was found written in the notes section of the victim’s mobile phone".
  13. None, but then who said this was a suicide attempt as apposed to an accidental fall? The full report very strongly, if not in so many words did! And it wasn't "an attempt", it was successful....
  14. What are you on? You need to read the original report. The twins were not the ones who committed the attack (the three who did left the country rapidly), the twins were alleged (wrongly, it now seems) just to have a connection with the attack, not to be the assailants.
  15. Is this really a big deal? Big enough deal for you to join in!
  16. They're there to give whingers something to whinge about.
  17. how do you know that the hair didn't fall onto the pizza after it had been cooked? How did you know that it had?
  18. After being in a pizza oven for half an hour?
  19. "...inside an illegal activity..." What is illegal about short time hotels?
  20. "Shlthole condos" don't cost anywhere near one million baht, never mind "millions".
  21. No, they do not necessarily have a yellow book, a long-term visa doesn't mean that a yellow book is available . I'm on a 'retirement visa' (Dr Jack!) and do not have a yellow book. Maybe your reference to a long-term visa is different.
  22. More likely that she jumped and landed on the first floor (the ground floor here, usually)
  23. What difference would that make for a suicide attempt?
