  1. seems my comment was left up and therefore didn't break any rules. That must be why it is no longer there!
  2. They were probably included under "staff". And maybe they weren't. I thought they deserved a special mention.
  3. If you believe he bought a gun from some random Thai outside a grocery store then that's up to you. Since he obviously lied about that he likely imported the gun. What's "obvious" about it? Just because that's what you want to think and that you think that he was able to get the gun and ammunition through Australian authorities first and then Thai authorities when entering the country doesn't make it "obvious". Just the opposite, in fact.
  4. Based on an overwhelming amount of observations over the years of businesses opening, only to close not long later, pre covid, of course. So nothing empirical, then, just your opinion with no stats to back it up.
  5. so he said but he obviously lied. He sure didn't buy it outside a grocery store. What evidence have you got for that assertion? None?
  6. i would think i still stand much higher than the level your comment brought you to ? Did my comment break any forum rules?
  7. Perhaps the frothed milk hid the tiny soap bubbles. Perhaps Fairy doesn't froth in coffee with milk.
  8. Maybe a sex toy. Thai customs wouldn't know. Both of you were wrong. Again.
  9. You could just read more than only Thaivisa. Try the Bangkok Post for specifics.
  10. No, it was not translated, Goongnang wrote the story for the English-language Phuket Express.
  11. You don't have to restrict your reading to Thaivisa, try reading the Bangkok Post for more information!
  12. Bilge pumps are not automatic. You have to wait until it is dark???? So if no one was on the ball. Right over my head, I'm afraid. I quoted what has been reported, that's all.
  13. I always thought that Christmas Day and Boxing Day were the 25th and the 26th. I appreciate the British Embassy advising of the changes, though!
  14. No. It's a one time travel document facilitating return to the UK only. That's not correct. https://www.gov.uk/emergency-travel-document
  15. Right from the start it has been reported that there was a failure of the electrical system due to water ingress that then caused the engines to stop, then it was just drifting in the rough sea.
  16. Have you posted on the intended forum, this is Thaivisa, you know! Having said that, you have nothing to worry about if you weren't bothered by the authorities while you were here. Just because the woman in the airport bar said it was ok with her for you to vape, doesn't mean that it is legal, though, it isn't.
  17. Near to the corner of Soi 8, by the Nana station steps is a shop that sells all that kind of stuff cheap, I get all my glasses, crockery, proper teapots, milk jugs etc. there. Good quality too.
  18. right because mask wearing in thailand is about people's health still. It's irrelevant what it's about, their company, their rules.
  19. Perhaps there were personal circumstances that prevented him from extending. We don't know. Neither does it matter, invalid visas/perm to stay is not ok even with personal circumstances. "38 days isn't the end of the world, but immigration will do their job and he will be gone". Neither is extending the permission to stay the end of the world. No one but himself to blame for IOs doing their job that Thaivisa posters would complain for tens of pages about if they didn't. "Not a nice Christmas for the old fellow, and not a good time to be sent back to the UK with all the cold weather and strikes". Better than IDC in Thailand and it was his choice.
