  1. ...but it is not mandatory, no one cares and no one takes any notice of those recorded announcements on the train.
  2. "90% mask compliance in the streets" No mandatory mask wearing, anywhere, no one will bother non-mask wearers. "little foot traffic outside". Plenty in Bangkok
  3. What are you looking for? Try buying a few Thai car magazines, they're full of ads for that sort of thing.
  4. The expression is, "If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is [to good to be true]"!
  5. They'll go, in due course. They can always be replaced with alternative Royal appointments.
  6. "If so, he is not real bright either!" That's not in dispute. And it's not illegal, either.
  7. No, I am under the impression that he admitted guilt for his actions by paying such an exorbitant price for it to go away, That's where you're wrong, he, very specifically, did not make any admission of guilt, that was part of the settlement. You're interpretation of the settlement is an opinion that you're entitled to but you're opinion is not fact in that case.
  8. The linked website's headline was accurate, that's why we're not commenting on its headline.
  9. Doesn't matter if the article states it, the headline should accurately reflect what has happened. Better complain to the "News Team", then, they're the ones who altered it from the original (linked) which was accurate.
  10. Surely, Andy boy agreeing to pay $21 million USD in compensation is an admission of guilt! Why otherwise would he agree? What's your question got to do with the assertion that "he's not facing justice"? Are you under the impression that there are criminal charges against him?
  11. He was, very much, in the club in the 90s as was the Thai president of the BBC who was also charged, he had to do the time until he died also.
  12. Vorayuth's father is not the patriarch of that huge business empire, his uncle is.
  13. I suppose they take into account the 67 offences that he was charged with, just as is done in every other country. He serves 20 years.
  14. He was not the only one who was questioned, not the only one who was charged and not the only one who was jailed...and those accomplices were Thais.
  15. Vorayuth hasn't been found guilty of anything yet, that's why. You don't think that triggering a run on BBC’s deposits that finally led to its collapse with this contributing to the devaluation of the baht and helping spark the Asian financial crisis deserves a few years?
  16. 67 offences was the motivation, 5 years for each charge isn't bad. As the article stated, he serves 20 years maximum.
  17. He's probably only got about 10 years to go, less remission.
  18. Both, depends what you book.
  19. Quality reporting..... No, quality headline re-writing, the actual article did state that he was escaping a fire.
  20. One of the joys of local journalism. One of the joys of Thaivisa responses...not bothering to read the link, just Thai-bash.
  21. Why would you say that when the probable cause was described in the link?
