  1. From Bangkok Bank home page. I wonder how they changed yours. They gave me a form that needed signing, took copies, hit some keys on the computer and told me they'd send it on to my branch, that's how. If you'd like to complain to BBL's CEO about my getting decent service, the branch in BIg C, Onnut did it to save me having to go to Silom.
  2. Why? What would be the point, he's dead. Do you expect him to be charged with drunk driving?
  3. Who says that mowing your own lawn, painting your own wall, cutting down your own tree or cleaning your own pool is not permitted?
  4. Yes, it is strange but that doesn't alter the fact that the alterations can be done at any branch as that is how I did mine...if it wasn't possible, except at the account opening branch, I wouldn't have been able to update my details, would I?
  5. You're quite right, it reported that he was "found (not "found") undressed". In the absence of any indication of any clothing, that's naked.
  6. Wouldn't a 14mm socket be the one to go for? Why would you need a 21/22mm socket for 14mm? Ask the shop or buy one and if if it doesn't fit, exchange it for one that does. Or buy all three, they cost 5/8ths of 'uck all.
  7. How could your wife complete a divorce in Thailand without your being involved in it unless she did it in court? Ending a Thai marriage at the amphur does not require "the whole mfa certification, translation, stamps this and that". I did mine just by turning up at the amphur with a witness (I think) with her and signing whatever was put in front of me.
  8. What are you going to do when Kasikorn goes the way of SCB and KTB online banking? Never a good idea to close any bank account that you don't have to, always good to have an alternative and it costs next to nothing to keep it open.
  9. That may have been what you were told (wrongly) but, officially, updating those details can be done at any branch, I know that because that's what I did at a local mall branch and there's no reason for that branch to have made an exception for me.
  10. Where do you get that "information" from? You make it up?
  11. You go to a social services office or the help office at Heathrow.
  12. https://www.heathrow.com/at-the-airport/airport-services/social-care Helping vulnerable people at Heathrow Heathrow Travel Care is the Heathrow social work team, based in Terminal 3. 13. "...please read my post thoroughly and comphrehend everything..." That is wishful thinking as there are only Asean Now members here!
  14. That must include circumstances in which non-Thais are involved, then.
  15. I was asking him because the others backed up their opinions with actual experience, he didn't...but how is it any of your concern to which posters I respond?
  16. An unbelievably irrational statement concerning my driving skills. I asked because he was strongly recommending that broker and most people do not have any interaction with their insurers until it's time for a claim. It's a that stage that the merits, or otherwise, of a broker becomes apparent...it's very easy to accept premiums without issue but that alone isn't a reasonable recommendation.
  17. With respect, with no claims experience you're hardly in a position to recommend them over any other broker or insurer, then. Are there any insurance brokers that have issues accepting premiums!?
  18. Smog; it surely sounds more British, a delicacy from the translators. That is what I said , it was a translation.
  19. The Thai media? Why pick on them specifically, they're no different to any other media. 1. Because this was is a Thai Forum. 2. Because the Thai media is almost as repetitive in its reporting as you are in throwing the word ‘assertion’ out there 1. No, it is not, it is an international forum (Asean Now), hence its international sub-forums. 2. Again, why another "Thai" media bash when they are no different to every other nations' media? Where in those comments did I use that word that you dislike so much (because of its accuracy and appropriateness, no doubt)? At least I don't "repetitively throw out" seventy-nine paragraph theses that could say exactly the same thing in a sentence or two.
  20. Which is neither Dark or White rum. Which is neither an accurate or rational comment. Sang Som is a white(-ish) rum.
  21. You'll probably get B200 change out of your B650 for a 1l Sang Som here.
  22. "A visible number plate means the car owner can potentially be identified with a registration search". Obviously, that's the point of them! The public does not have access to vehicle registration databases in order to get the owner's details. "It could be construed as an invasion of privacy". Nonsense. How can "invasion of privacy" apply to something that the owners of the vehicles publicly display 24/7?
  23. Your plates aren't blurred when you're driving around in public and anyone can see them, are they? What's the big deal?
  24. Why suggest that was the fault of Thailand Post when USPS is a service that is not exactly well-reputed, perhaps the blame should lie at their feet?
