  1. "...a Suzuki Swift holds the road like glue ha" You mean they can hardly move?
  2. "...most folk usually manage to keep 4 wheels on the ground! ...particularly foreigners who are well known to be the best possible people behind the wheel, possessing supreme driving ability (according to Thaivisa "experts").
  3. Even if his comment was (subjectively) negative, he's allowed to post it! This is a forum and if opposing thoughts weren't allowed it wouldn't be much of one.
  4. Unfortunately, those communications company employees who are tasked with installing new cables cannot do anything about existing cables, whether they're in use or disused, if they were not installed by their company. Many existing cables will be the property of other comms providers.
  5. You reckon it's not rocket science... What? I said nothing about "rocket science" but I do reckon you're not a rocket scientist!
  6. "...in Thailand they probably have special cells for these kind of prisoners..." No, they don't. All prisoners in their prison are confined in 20-30 person rooms after the nightly lockup. Thai prisons are not known for retaliatory violence towards other inmates. "Don't think they are in the normal cells between the other criminals" Obviously you have not spent any time in a Thai prison and cannot, therefore, know anything about them, in particular, the prison they are in. At 6am prisoners are removed from their accommodation (which is all multiple person accommodation) and all prisoners mix freely in the yards or the work facilities. There are no special cells, except solitary punishment cells, and, in the late afternoons, they are all returned to those 20-30 person locked quarters for the night, regardless of their offences.
  7. And that makes a difference how? Or do you mean her degree was rubbish? It makes a difference because my post suggested, rationally, that the English language report that we read here could well have been mis-translated from the original Thai, that's all. I made no comment, nor suggested, anything about her degree.
  8. Your comment had a serious tone with no indication whatsoever that it was trying to be humourous. Ha ha.
  9. Perhaps you need to understand that "professor" is, probably, just a loose translation of "lecturer" in a Thai-to-English report.
  10. Life sentences in Thailand mean life and do not allow for the prospect of parole.
  11. They've just been given actual time, and they're all in prison. "Retrial in a few years"? What? When has that ever happened?
  12. They are in prison and have been since their arrests and they have not been released on bail. Can't understand why anyone would want that comment "flagged", some kind of masochism or love of embarrassment, perhaps?
