  1. Why are you on the fence when there has been absolutely no evidence that making legitimate claims would be problematic and the exact opposite, in fact, seems to be the case? I don't even know if there has ever been confirmed evidence that any insurers deliberately denied legitimate claims that policies covered.
  2. So an apparent 100% success rate! You can be sure that if they were denying claims social media would have made it very clear as it has done with positive results! It makes no sense assuming that they will be making claims difficult.
  3. That's a subjective view that bears no relation to any claims record.
  4. I do know several personally. I will not put the hospital names and the names of affected here for obvious reasons. But let's say one is in off Petchaburi road, another is in near Rama 9, one more in Thonburi. I wasn't asking for names, obviously, but you didn't give any information about your personal experiences of emergency care that was refused, or the circumstances in general, and you referred to two, not "so many" so I'll read into that that you do not personally know of "so many" after all.
  5. Requirement for a work permit. I know, but you made a particular point about it after posting that all the required test had been done!
  6. Don't see many petrol pumps left for weeks unmaintained here so why should that apply to charging stations? "Maintenance is not something they are really good at after all". Really? What do you base that on...any relevant examples?
  7. Par for the (Thaivisa) course and not just EV threads!
  8. Governments provide Tesla's charging stations? Really? Serious question.
  9. Quite right, the ultimate "sad" is announcing to the forum that one person has been put on an ignore list, an action that has no effect whatsoever on the "ignored"!
  10. Toyota ... having a problem simply keeping the wheels on their EVs. Not any more. 2,700 cars quickly recalled and the problem remedied after only 264 went to customers. Toyota provided replacement vehicles while they were being sorted, offered $5,000 compensation and offered to buy the affected cars back.
  11. Which comparable Chinese cars are "poor quality" in your experience?
  12. I'm guessing that you've not seen the most recent Camry as you're referring to looks. They are good-looking cars, Teslas aren't anything special aside from the potential performance that most people will never use, or need.
  13. "...syphilis test" You have a concern?!
  14. Happened to me , I had a minor cut that got infected which quickly spread because I was unable to get to a hospital and when I got to a hospital they were considering an amputation but they would try some anti biotics first and they wouldn't give my any treatment at all until I had paid . I was in a hospital begging for an injection to take the pain away ........................and then I had to go outside to find an ATM to make a withdrawal to pay . The infection would have killed me, had I not paid You have my sympathy, but I was asking him because he said that he knows of "so many cases in which emergency care" was refused. I went to Camillian Hospital with a ruptured appendix, a life-threatening condition, and was given immediate assistance. In the Emergency Room while the initial examination was being made I was asked how I would be paying. I told then with cash and showed USD500 that I had on me. They didn't take it but were perfectly happy with that to proceed even though it was nowhere near enough to cover the emergency surgery and subsequent hospitalisation costs.
  15. I would report overstayers, child abusers, yaba dealers and murderers. "...child abusers, yaba dealers and murderers". Irrelevant to this thread and my question and is just an attempt to deflect and derail the thread. You also avoided the other question I asked that is absolutely relevant to your attitude towards law breakers whom you would report, but, just to remind you... "Have you ever broken any Thai law, however minor, or taken advantage of lax law enforcement in any way, since you've been here?"
  16. I would report overstayers, This about overstayers only; how is another person's visa status any of your sodding business?
  17. I know so many cases where emergency care was refused unless patient coughed up money up-front. "I know so many cases..." Do you? Personally? Any examples that aren't hearsay, conjecture o speculation?
  18. I do hope that you are not condoning overstay - or other illegal activities................................ Did I say that I condone them? But, regardless of whether I do or do not, why would you hope that I, in particular, would not condone them when there have been so many other posters in various threads recently fully supporting overstayers and calling out IB officers for doing their job that you have not expressed your hopes about similarly?
  19. He'd go to hospital, then it would be up to the hospital staff. Under Thai law hospitals cannot refuse treatment to anyone for the first 72 hours of emergency care.
  20. Is it just the Immigration law transgressors that you'd selectively report or those who break any laws here? Have you ever broken any Thai law, however minor, or taken advantage of lax law enforcement in any way, since you've been here?
  21. How would you ever justify sticking your nose into his business by reporting him to Immigration apart from the pointless and vindictive "if I have to do it he should also" attitude?
  22. The locals could only know that if the passport holder made it common knowledge. Why the slur on the locals ("grassed up by"...) when it would be the expired visa/passport holder who actually deserved your derision?
  23. Same here in 28 years, apart from one traffic stop. It may have been different, though, if I (or your good self), had been on overstay! Sod's Law.
  24. Any previous proven incidents that back your assertion or is it just barstool hearsay and speculation that the police routinely steal seized assets?
  25. After they have been auctioned and that's only after the assets have not been proven to have been legally acquired.
