  1. To quote your own post two minutes before that one in which you admonish other members, "what are your motives for replying if saying anything other than get well soon?"
  2. Such garbage. Give one example of any insurance company that has "small print", not policy conditions, that entitles them to provide "no cover at all" for insured situations. Just one.
  3. What a disgusting excuse for a human! You're part of his family, then?
  4. Oh, that makes it ok, then, for someone to not have sufficient insurance cover?
  5. He "had to have" Covid-related insurance that would not have covered the level of expense claimed in the OP.
  6. You suspect wrong. If "very few claims were paid out" there would be no insurance industry. Stats show that, in general, over 90% of insurance claims are paid. If policy conditions are transgressed or the claim is otherwise invalid, payouts will, obviously, not be forthcoming.
  7. Depends on the circumstances, perhaps his riding caused the pickup to hit him.
  8. INN's report clearly referred to evening visitors even though it used a photo taken in the middle of the day.
  9. "there is a Korean supermarket..." "there is a Japanese Supermarket..." Well, that's his Hong Kong, Malaysian and Taiwan shopping sorted, then!
  10. How did this incident (sarcastically) confirm that? Did you read the OP and the link? There was no fire, just smoke from a cooker hood, there were no injuries and everyone was safely evacuated with no chaos or disorder.
  11. Meanwhile Gordon Brown literally sold off the complete UK gold reserves at a bad price, just to pay the bills. No, he, literally, did not. He sold 401 tonnes out of the UK's holding of 715t at the time.
  12. "Was it always this way?" Yes. That's why it's the way it is.
  13. No, of course you can't. The last increase did not double state pensions.
  14. ...and assume that everyone should "thank them for their service" every five minutes!
  15. Obviously, because it could never succeed. The government is not doing anything illegal.
  16. You may want to read the OP properly. No one is asking for a basic state pension to sustain what you describe as an "expat lifestyle", suggesting an extravgant way of life, just the annual cost of living increases that all pensioners in the UK and some other countries receive automatically.
  17. That's what you think. No government, whatever side of the aisle, has ever agreed to apply the state pension increases.
