  1. The banks, including BBL, have been doing it for years, it is nothing new, although you may not have been aware of the procedure.
  2. Sounds cute. But too much work. Cute? It's no work at all, just tell the person in the photo/copy shop to do it.
  3. "...it is OK for the UK government to steal money from certain state pensioners..." When did I say that? Quote it please, from the comment that you allege I posted. By the way, I'm the recipient of a frozen pension.
  4. Only a copy of the passport photo page and permission to stay needs to be copied and they can be sized to credit card/wallet size and laminated back to back to preserve them.
  5. Well, their job is certainly not to get dirtbags out of prison.
  6. Yes, it is a legal requirement to report the arrest of nationals of other countries to their embassy.
  7. No, the lowest rung is reserved for self-confessed, braggadocious drunk drivers.
  8. "taxi drivers are people who are not qualified or don't have the brains to do anything else. I ... held local Taxi licenses". Strange thing to admit!
  9. If the taxi's registered number was known why would there be any need to publicise it? From the public's perspective, how many people check a taxi's registration number before getting into it?
  10. Very obviously. From the OP... "File photo for reference only"
  11. Why would you think that...for just B3m? "That would give time for a setup hoist". There's no way that moving B3m would need a hoist to be set up.
  12. That's not the case, there are not many bank branches that couldn't come up with just B3m on demand.
  13. Oh dear, maybe those people should consider the cost of the drinking if they're that short.
  14. here we are ... there are many more ... https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cv26j5n5wj3o Here we are...no murder charge in that case.
  15. Quite easy, as there are many instances. This I found in 2 seconds..............https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2024-05-29/twice-convicted-dui-driver-charged-with-murder-in-crash-that-killed-14-year-old-in-newport-beach I stand corrected, sort of, but absolutely not the norm... "Those convicted of DUI in California must be given a “Watson advisement,” which advises them that those who kill others while driving under the influence can be charged with murder".
  16. It sure is, and many have been charged with murder for causing deaths. Ok then, quote specifically just one instance of a drunk driver who caused a death being charged with "murder" when there was no intent.
