  1. Oh my good gawd. From my original post... "If the movement was actually replaced by a cheap quartz item that's failing, just get another cheap movement fitted, they cost next to nothing".
  2. You can do it from the banking app. To be notified of all transactions by SMS needs BBL's 'Super SMS' service. It has to be applied for at a branch (any branch) and costs B30 pm. It is not available through the app.
  3. To be notified of all transactions by SMS needs BBL's 'Super SMS' service. It has to be applied for at a branch (any branch) and costs B30 pm.
  4. There's a big difference between deposits being insured in the case of a bank going to the wall and irregular transactions on individuals' accounts. In the case of the latter, fraudulent transactions are usually corrected/reversed by the bank.
  5. And that was what I explained to you. You "explained" something that didn't need explaining! Read my original comment where I referred to quartz movements, not "digital" movements.
  6. in Cyprus? or UK? if you are in the UK, then you do realize that "promotions" of cryptos like you do expose you eventually to serious violations You really need to read my comments properly, nowhere did i say that I recommended cryptos! I was challenging your claim that I "could never be an FA, anywhere", you are wrong. Take a look at the tense I used in my comment that you quoted above also!
  7. I think the point was that a registered FA would not do this, in fear of being fined. That was not my point!
  8. Which machine was the culprit or was he shocked by the two different machines in the photo?
  9. Where specifically? Useful information to have.
  10. She's a truthful book reader? Glad to hear it, nothing better than a bit of honesty!
  11. you couldn't be a registered FA, an unregistered FA, is not a FA, he is a self-promoter or sell person, that's what I meant I could be a registered (regulated) FA. I was an FA (an IFA)!
  12. that's not what I think, that's what the regulations say. I was visited by regulators for a routine inspection for an investment practice and that's exactly how it went I was not disputing the US regulations, I was responding to your statement that I "could never be an FA anywhere". That's what you were very wrong about.
  13. Stop posting false information as an all-encompassing generality. Taxis from the official rank at the airport are all metered at exactly the same rates as everywhere else in Bangkok...plus the B50 (?) official booking fee. I've been here 27 years and have never had a metered Bangkok taxi with anything other than proper meter rates.
  14. and that's what you keep missing, and you couldn't be a FA anywhere That's what you think! Wrongly, of course.
  15. He didn't claim that his suggestions did have any relevance to those subjects!
  16. the issue is not if it's genuine or not, or if you believe in it or not, the question is about product fit and customer best interests, The issue that I posted about was genuine, professional investment advice from qualified advisors which suggests that KYC requirements are expected to be and are followed. You stated that there are FAs in the states that are facing criminal charges for proper advice that has not produced the returns the investor expected, I don't believe that there are unless you can indicate where to find them.
  17. Or check with your phone service provider....DTAC and TRUE both offer B6 or B7 per minute international mobile rates. Probably AIS do also.
  18. Why does the physical location )or nationality) of someone on the other end of the phone matter if they're providing the service that is being asked for?
  19. Why would you say that when normal delivery times for recorded/signed for Royal Mail to Thailand is about 5 days?
  20. What? Which phone company are you using that charges B40 per minute for mobile calls from Thailand to the UK?
  21. I explain why he posted that, because you did not seem to understand. Unfortunately that is still a fact. Sorry, I can not help you with understanding. That is entirely your work. And, yes I went back and checked. It's you who does not seem to want to understand the glaringly obvious! My second sentence (that I pointed out to you but you ignored) indicates, very clearly, that I did understand what he probably meant to post. This is what I posted... "If the movement was actually replaced by a cheap quartz item that's failing, just get another cheap movement fitted, they cost next to nothing".
  22. since regulations have been more strict in the last 5 years, in particular the US a lot of cases with the SEC, quite entertaining to read ???? So irrelevant to Thailand, and everywhere else. But you're claiming that genuine financial advice, not scam advice, provided by qualified advisors that has not turned out to be profitable for the investor in the US has lead to criminal convictions? Any case in particular that backs up your claim?
  23. If you just think a little bit before quoting, it might help. Of course he means that the watch originally had a mechanical or an automatic/mechanical function but now unfortunately have been fitted with a modern quartz function. So why did he say, specifically, that it was replaced by a "digital Movement"? If you had just thought a bit and read my second sentence before rebuking me, it may have helped you understand my comment.
