  1. It's unusual for travel insurance not to include repatriation unless there are pre-existing conditions relating to the death or excluded activities had taken place.
  2. And after his death, no unauthorised person is going to get the cash out of his wallet without stealing it, regardless of what it's to be used for.
  3. I would sympathise with this family's begging if he was seriously ill and needed to be repatriated for treatment but, without wishing to seem harsh, he's died, and the begging now is for nothing more than to make his sister's and the rest of his family's life easier financially. No contributions will be of any benefit whatsoever to Mr Skipper. If people are going to contribute that is great and that is their prerogative but why just limit the contribution to the unknown family of this unknown single man? Why not contribute to every stranger's funeral arrangement that they can find (and the internet makes that easy)? Fire away!
  4. Purely for interest, make of it what you will... "A 2019 study in the journal Gastroenterology found that people who drank red wine had a greater diversity of good bacteria in their guts compared with people who did not drink red wine." https://www.thehealthy.com/food/red-wine-benefits/ This is what I (and the link!) made of it... "What happens to your body if you drink a small amount every day? ... if you have a glass of wine a day or less (but not more—especially if you’re a woman) there may be some benefits (and risks) to your moderate imbibing". As I said, no doctor is ever going to recommend drinking a few glasses of wine every night as the OP does.
  5. Is the name Bumrungrad a secret? Siriraj Hospital has an excellent reputation due in large part to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's living there for a considerable time where he was being cared for and treated.
  6. Would he be able to prove that the person holding the helmet was the thief or that the helmet he was holding was the OP's considering that those helmets are widely available here and probably don't have VINs or registration numbers?
  7. The insurer gave you a definitive list of what items were covered, at that point if you had any items that were not on that list, or you were unsure about, you should have queried it, not waited until you made a claim for an item the was specifically not on the "covered" list.
  8. The idea is that policy documents are read so that you know what is covered. 32-page policy document? Don't believe for a minute that the policy doc is 32 pages long. Unless they're very small pages, of course. Useful to know, lucky that the insurer pointed those out in the policy. Useful to know, also. Lucky that the insurer pointed those out in the policy. The opinion of the bloke who sold you the policy and was paid commission for it is irrelevant, it's only the policy conditions that count. Tough, I know but that's the way insurance works, the insurer offers to cover you for certain risks at a certain premium and you have the option to agree to it or decline it. If you don't like the sound of the coverage or you're not sure about the coverage, you can ask for clarification.
  9. They are £500 in the UK. Then buy the B23,000 one from Lazada! Ask the right questions of the vendor before you order and if it turns out to be fake Lazada will give you a refund. Or you could buy from another supplier here, you have the choice.
  10. A recent change? You said that you were a several-glasses-a-night wine drinker in your OP!
  11. Is 1 glass of wine a day OK? I do not know, I'm not a doctor but I do know that no doctor has ever credibly recommended that anyone drinks "a few glasses of wine everyday to benefit their health"!
  12. But they do reduce the probability of both catching and spreading the virus. Vaccinations do not prevent anyone from passing on the virus to others! The probabilty of a symptomatic or non-symptomatic infected person infecting others is not reduced by virtue of being vaccinated.
  13. I doubt that any doctor, anywhere has ever said that "a few glasses of wine each day is good for you"!
  14. He's not wanted in Dubai is one justification plus the fact that Interpol issues advices to member forces, not mandatory instructions and that's in addition to there not being an extradition treaty between Dubai and Thailand so it would be a waste of time. Vorayuth has no power and money is not needed to stay in a country in which you've committed no crimes.
