  1. You're welcome to go elsewhere (even though, ironically, you're coming here) but, you're right, no one will care if you don't, not even Thais.
  2. Since the end of Covid the number of visitors to Thailand is increasing, why would TAT want to reverse that trend?
  3. Which new costs, specifically, are now being charged to visitors that forces them "to pay almost anything" to enter?
  4. Where has that been stated by Thai authorities? It's ok, got it, nowhere.
  5. The people who want to come to Thailand will, but, which "hoops"?
  6. Huh? What could be easier than visa exempt entry?
  7. Cheapskates have not been excluded, they're still welcome here also.
  8. That is what aquaplaning is, loss of contact with the road surface due to the wheels riding on a layer of water. It does not matter how many wheels are driven if they're not in contact with the road, and an aquaplaning wheel doesn't have that contact. I am aware that 4WD or AWD can be advantageous before the wheel loses contact with the road. I'm also aware that is usually momentary and not like a long boat cruise. I do know the advantage of 4WD having experience of an Audi S2, S6, Evo 4, STI, Discovery, Range Rover, Sport Rider and Fortuner.
  9. Good guess! There are pictures showing an, obviously, not young man and the OP states... "Relatives had contacted the embassy saying that Mr Park suffered from mental health problems".
  10. Aquaplaning wheels are not in contact with the road and at that stage, whether the wheels are driven or not, it does not make any difference. I do know that 4WD can be an advantage in wet conditions when the wheels are still in contact with the road, i.e before the wheels start floating.
  11. That is a fact not an opinion Yes, I know that what I wrote is fact and that you're entitled to your opinion.
  12. The airline is responsible for the meals and the quality That's your opinion. The supplier is actually responsible for the meals and the quality. The airline doesn't specify reptiles to be included in the meals.
  13. No, that's just nonsense. Where did you get that information from? That was rhetorical. Obviously, you didn't get that information anywhere. Dusit Zoo was not reported to have been mismanaged and did not close for that reason. It closed as part of the long-planned move to relocate to a much larger area, gifted by the King.
  14. Why? Because the airline does not prepare the meals that are served, that is contracted out.
  15. "let it be paid into a flip bank acc, draw it from where ever". My point was how does a pensioner living in Thailand get a Philippine bank account? "a lot of guys here still just draw from there UK account". Those having their pensions paid into a UK bank account don't need to be concerned as they will be getting the increases.
  16. Speak for yourself.
  17. How does 4WD "help with aquaplaning", are FWD cars not susceptible to aquaplaning? Once enough water gets under the tyre to cause aquaplaning, i.e. the tyre is no longer in contact with the road surface, 4WD (or FWD) is irrelevant, those wheels are then "floating", driven or not.
  18. That is not "a question of import". You're making a pretentiously pompous assumption about the Liverpool that is referenced in my Thaivisa name.
  19. Manila 2 of them, plus atms Ok, there's more than one branch, but so what? He'd still be in Thailand even if there were two hundred branches and ATMs up the ying yang!
  20. Those of you who choose to live where you do, yes?!
  21. "I've never heard of a non-immigrant visa being issued on the spot, there's always an under consideration period". When I used to do my own retirement extensions based on income at CW they were always issued that day, there was never an "under consideration" period.
  22. You fire a gun the penalty should be a harsh one. If a gun was not fired then fair enough There's no "if" about it, he did not fire a gun. If he had have done, it would have been reported in the OP.
  23. Actually having the ability to schedule an order and add last minute items was a great feature for many of us who used Tesco Lotus home delivery. Yes, I didn't suggest that it wasn't a useful feature.
  24. There is BKK Bank PH,advises using app transfers anywhere He'd be in Thailand, how would he open a BBL account in Makati?
  25. He could use Wise Yeah, in those dodgy, red flag circumstances that wouldn't raise anymore red flags with the DWP, would it?!
