I am afraid it is not the only issue. Over the time, the lithium battery will run out of steam and eventually die. Car owners firstly will notice the full charge would produce lesser range over the time (slow but noticeable, have you noticed how fast your phone or computer slowly become less reliable with its battery?). Then the government will face a dilemma on how to recycle (i.e. dump) the battery unit after a decade or two. Not to mention the mining of lithium, copper and other metals to make the engine and cars can bring more pollution to the world. After 6 to 10 years, the current EV will need to change its battery unit or even engine unit to be more efficient.

Finally, anyone in the government have any idea what the impact it would bring to the national grid if every car in the world is EV?

Hydrogen fuel and bio fuel is the future. Sensible government who really care about environment issues should seek alternative and should not tie their resource in E.V alone.

It should be pointed out though, that this credit is due to the fact that EV's inflict considerably less harm on the environment than do ICE vehicles. And it's citizens who pay for that harm in many ways including increased medical costs. So those credits are a way of leveling the playing field.

Not  in conctruction emissions and certainly  not for those  poor  sods  minimg the metals needed for those  batteries and then leaving aside the electrical  generation type of fuel required and China can make them cheap due to it  having all the rare  earth elements on its  land. For  them to be truly successful they need a  much higehr energy density and there are  many "brekthroughs"  announced daily that seem to  fizzle  out to nothing.

EV cars being touted like a religion for  many

  3. You  have to define  love, good  luck with that, the reality is the very first girlfriend, after that it  all decreases, then theres  age at 16 the only thing about love swings  between  your  legs.

Been married toa  Thai 16  years, shes  decent, hard  working but do I love her? no idea, we dont live together and I told  her the other day she should find someone else as nothing makes  me   happy and shes  quite happy..she just said she didnt want that.

Its certainly  not  about money for her in any way, she  actually  supports me, shock  horror I  know.

Things we  have in common are hard  work and independance and space LOTS  of  space, Id  say her biggest fear is she doesnt want to be  alone as she  ages.

Does she  love me, again I  have no idea absoloutely  none, we  have no  kids she has no parents.

China's EV market is shaking and they risk big losses because of their poor allegiances to other countries, the EV inventory in China is at the limit as potential buyers from western countries didn't jump on the cheap Chinese made models thus the government has no alternative then to direct their marketing strategies to Asia neighbors and gave away cash incentives to direct buyers to the Chinese models..... a pig with a dress still a pig

AH the green  Chinese with its  overall  majority of coal  powered generation stations...and  building more. Save the planet, dont have kids

We know that subsidies aren't necessary because in the USA, even though Federal incentives for Teslas were phased out Jan 1, 2020 Tesla sales boomed afterwards. What's more, when the subsidies were phased out, Tesla lowered its prices. It took advantage of the subsidies but clearly didn't need them to be profitable.

Yeah right, by  selling emission credits

Yes, seen a couple of Ora Good Cats around here already, showroom open a couple of months ago.

Seem a few H6’s and Jolions around, they are similar in size and shape.

New Haval H6 PHEV on show at the motor show but no release date or reliable price yet, best rumour is 1.45 mill baht, claiming a 201 km range on PHEV battery !!

As others have said, the H6 is a big car and if you are not in the market for something so big take a look at Jolion, although miss out on the turbo of the H6.

The Jolion hybrid is nicely priced but the base model Toyota Cross Hybrid is also around 1 mill baht and has a 1.8 ICE compared to the 1.5 ICE on the Jolion.

A Jolion PHEV , if one appears, would probably be the dealbreaker for me if the range of the H6 (201 km ) is met.

Real  world  figures  nothing like whats  quoted,  couple of tests  in Thailand  of the ora cat 500k as  more  like 400

Spotted another Ora Good Cat cruising around locally today, white tags. ????

2nd one in a week, impressive, along with a few H6s already.  Expect many more after the Hua Hin showroom (old Chevy showroom ????) opens soon, as progressing fast when we drove by recently, if not already open.

MGs & GWM ... Rock on China

Good  luck with the new gwm showroom in HH  I  found them sheite  as  Chevrolet and  Ive been in there  recently and they didn t know  how to change the  clutch  fluid shared with the brakes through the bell  housing of the  transmission. Told me   didnt change it would be ok to do just the brakes and it  would "mix"  with the total  fluid  volume in the clutch  line...............this  despite a  bleed  valve on the clutch cylinder inside  the bell  housing for  just that purpose......and  here it  is.

Just  like Chevrolet...where  will the service  be  in 20  years, thats  how  long  Chevvy  lasted

it is also very good at treating dirty or contaminated water so plant it over your leach field.

I  just  dumped  hundreds  of tons of gravel 6  inch thick  on the ground as  live  within 3 km of the quarry and its  dirt  cheap and maintenance  free, also dug correct drainage  channels, the main aim is  not to stop the water but to slow  down its  progress, also totally  stops any weeds at 6inch thick

    @MJCM

    Thanks for the compliment!

I am using AutoCAD to produce the drawings (to scale) in 2D.

But I am by no means an expert using the software... self-taught!

I too am using Sweet Home 3D to produce 3D images of the main house, but I find that although the results are very good conceptually, they are not accurate and the libraries available don't have everything I want.

For example, steps and stairs are just not intuitive... neither are ramps and slopes.

I will post some of my preliminary designs for the main house later.

i used  "floorplanner"it was  ok as I didnt need  any permission where I was, it  was  soley for my use  only , tried  sketch up  just couldnt get on with it at  all
