  1. "The judge overseeing former President Trump’s criminal case in New York City has set the next in-person hearing for Dec. 4, roughly two months before the official start of the 2024 Republican presidential primary calendar." https://thehill.com/homenews/3934216-trump-december-court-date-2024-primaries Basically anything can happen betwen now-&-then including a plea to a lesser charge to the case itself being totally dismissed.
  2. To me (again) the only key tidbit would be if Allen Weisselberg -- who is now sitting in jail at Rikers Island -- and who is the 'TO CFO' mentioned 13 times in the indicment statement of facts, will testify at any trial.
  3. Even a possible guilty verdict does not mean necessarily any jail time as ex-President Trump's Secret Service protection-for-life will have a lot to say about it.
  4. To the above 'Statement of Facts' PDF: 13 references to TO CFO.
  5. The judge overseeing former President Trump’s criminal case in New York City has set the next in-person hearing for Dec. 4, roughly two months before the official start of the 2024 Republican presidential primary calendar. https://thehill.com/homenews/3934216-trump-december-court-date-2024-primaries/ So nothings gonna happen fast. Possible trial dates (if there is a trial) well into 2024.
  6. While I will not disagree, the other 3 legal issues involve unique circunstances. According to a statement by DA Bragg: “My office, including the talented prosecutors you saw at arraignment earlier today, has charged hundreds of felony falsifying business records — this charge, it can be said, is the bread and butter of our white-collar work,” Bragg said. “I bring cases when they’re ready,” Bragg told reporters. “Having now conducted a rigorous, thorough investigation, the case was ready to be brought, and it was brought.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/04/04/trump-arraignment-ny-indictment-live-updates
  7. Reading the indictment, Lawyer A (Cohen) will testify at any eventual trial. Big question is: Will TO CFO (Weisselberg) testify?
  8. I spent almost 20 years with 2 insurers who do as you say. And I decided I had reasons to move. While the WrL people do not do as you say, that it isn't possible to form ANY kind of opinion about claims paying ability is your opinion. And we had this same discussion last year and I'm not doing it again .
  9. As stated: Usually.
  10. Plan A was BUPA Thailand for 13 years pre-Aetna 1 claim JAN 2007 Plan B was CIGNA Global for 5 years no claims Plan C was WrLife since DEC 2021 2 claims Plan D is available if necessary
  11. What he says is up to him. I make no recommendations on here because it has been stated by the modertor that their business model is unsustainable. I would not want to be the one who suggested that someone sign up just before they go bust.
  12. What I know from what he said is that the WrLife folks didn't get to give high 5's all around the office for denying the clainm.
  13. Not everyone who posts feels they have to sit for cross-examination.
  14. No. The third.
  15. I though the USA was full of them! In the context of jury selection, "peers" is mostly a matter of geography. Whatever crimes Mr. Trump is eventually charged with, they took place in New York City at the Trump offices; not in western Kansas where many counties voted 90% for Trump in 2020.
  16. I would generally agree except if Trump ex-CFO turns state witness in the SDNY Bragg/DA action.
  17. How Alvin Bragg resurrected the case against Donald Trump NEW YORK — One year ago this week, the Manhattan district attorney’s investigation into Donald Trump appeared to be dead in the water. https://www.seattletimes.com/nation-world/nation-politics/how-alvin-bragg-resurrected-the-case-against-donald-trump/ March 31, 2023
  18. His jury of his peers in New York City which went about 75% against him 2020 election. Theses days his peer-group is more likely in western Kansas.
  19. The idea, in my case for a modest Thai life insurance policy, is to get some day-to-day funds into my wife's possession upon my eventual demise as soon and as easy as possible.
  20. The only payment upon death account in Thailand (except for maybe 100,000 USD minimum wealth accounts) is a life insurance policy
  21. One big difference for the NY state charges that prior NY State and federal attorneys decided to drop is that they did not have Allen Weisselberg available as a possible witness. Reports on Weisselberg's possible flip is that since FEB the NY state attorneys have been pressuring him with additional charges if he chooses not to cooperate. From 3FEB2023 Manhattan DA threatens former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg with new charges https://abcnews.go.com/US/manhattan-da-threatens-former-trump-organization-cfo-allen/story?id=96864076
  22. Reading elsewhere that maybe a big reason for the indictment now is that Allen Weisselberg has flipped. Allen Weisselberg Might Have Just Flipped on Donald Trump https://www.newsweek.com/allen-weisselberg-flip-donald-trump-lawyers-1791411
  23. The NY case is more how DT tried to write-off the payment as a legal expense. I still think the real show is in Georgia. If you read a transcript of the entire "just find 11000+ votes" hour-long JAN2021 phone call, well ...
  24. My first trip to Thailand was in 1988. I stayed on the beach at Koh Samui in some rental bungalow for about 10 days. One day someone asked me: Had you noticed the red-haired German guy staying a few bungalows away? I said yes. The guy said: Well he's dead. Motorcycle crash. So that was my wakeup call almost 40 years ago.
