  1. Some data from the real world: Neighbour in my home country (in a big city)
  2. Hey, that's 3000 years from now, how could it be official? Buy then, Thailand will have had 2 or 3 new governments.
  3. Thx I usually buy Canola Oil at BigC for about 70 B, so it's obviously not cold pressed. Can you explain thre differences?
  4. Yes, I agree. I also despise those "Thainess" Thais who consider foreigners under-mensch. Here we saw 2 fine samples of both.
  5. That's 62 days. People who were stamped in 60 days got until Sep 12
  6. Whom do they target with the possibility to bring wife and kids? (Tax) residents.
  7. Nothing is written about taxes. So you will be a tax resident. It makes a lot of sense to ask first what you work, then give you a visa and then tax you. Much better for Thailand than the way it's now: you come here anyway, under all kinds of visa, nobody knows that/what you work, you don't pay taxes here. BTW these are taxes for Thai-sourced income, DTA won't help. You can claim a tax credit in your home country if you pay taxes there, too.
  8. Yeah, and washing dishes at McDonald. Not what I call an opportunity. Just the opposite: lifelong serfdom
  9. 33 minutes ago, someone in a German forum posted a screenshot where @Tod Danielsuploaded a pic with a 60 day stamp, supposedly from "the airport"
  10. Can you elaborate? The air is breathable in the UK. That's a plus.
  11. The 2 lists of countries are overlapping. Russia, Saudi, Taiwan are on both lists. Mai pen rai, can get a visa exemption on arrival, VEoA, form TM555
  12. But you are going away, are you?
  13. That's what I did last smog season. Came back Songkran and there was still smog
  14. Thx for reporting about the air quality there. I know this area quite well, and 30 years ago it was nice and not yet overrun by tourists. I haven't been there for more than 10 years. Friends tell me it's still ok. I should brush up on my Swiss-German, though, to communicate with the locals.
  15. Thx And than foreigners have 3 months to learn how to file. I know Thais are quick learners...
  16. Sorry, I didn't know and I have to apologize. Let's say it's sold in undiscerning markets.
  17. TAT saw to it that the date 15 July was publicized all over the world in the international media (eg Bloomberg yesterday), and in many national media of Thailand's tourist markets (eg China, Taiwan, European countries). No loss of face whatsoever
  18. Good observation. I agree. I head a look at the form PND 90 - it asks for assessable income. Savings are not income, much less assessable income. There's no field "remittances". Neither is there a field "savings" as source of fund to check. Is the online form any different?
  19. That is NOT the pink card. It is the card you get if you have PR. Correct?
  20. Yes, with most places. Yes
  21. At 00:00 I thought in 5 minutes we will know, and in a couple of hours it will be posted on AN. How wrong I was. bumped
  22. If you live in Thailand (Bangkok or anything north/northeast of Bangkok), what, if any, are your plans for the next smog season? I have decided I don't want to put up with this anymore. (I do have a/c, air purifiers and N95 masks)) Moving to the south during tourist season doesn't sound tempting. I dislike tourist places. Hua Hin or Phuket are not for me. Then, the only option seems to be leaving Thailand roughly from January to April. I don't know what to do.
