  1. Which was "It's not our job." Just like I said. 7-11 and Embassies don't give apostilles.
  2. If he walks into a welding shop with a diagram and measurements and points at the sheet metal he wants he won't have to say a word.
  3. Wrong. It's not their job. Asking a checkout girl at 7-11 will offer the same results.
  4. This is unequivocally false. No US Embassy or Consulate can issue an apostille as they are both not charged with that authority and do not have records confirming the credentials of the notary or Federal, State or County officials who's signature/credentials would be verified by the apostille at either a US Secretary of State or Federal Secretary of State level
  5. Notaries are available in Thailand and their stamp should be accepted abroad. I had a Thai notary stamp in a request for documents un the US and It i as acceptable. An apostille is a certification of a notary's credentials. Nothing more. As you know non Hague Convention countries like Thailand cannot issue an apostille on Amy Thai originating document. Since you have UK doc you need a UK apostille. The process is fairly simple the form is available online. There are notaries in the UK that will also send your doc for apostille but it gets expensive when they do the legwork. If a notary stamp will do you can find one here by asking at your local legal offices. If you must have an apostille you will need to submit that in the UK or have a friend or family member make the request there but you may need to courier documents around if you need to sign them personally. An embassy or consulate cannot issue apostilles either. It's not relevant to you but in case another researcher comes across this I signed a Power of Attorney here in Thailand for my attorney in Italy in front of a representative at the Italian embassy in Bangkok who first notarized my signature and then legalized it for use in court. This legalization is offered in lieu of apostille service in non-Hauge countries to citizens of the Embassy nation, as I have said, not available in Thailand. I am not an Italian citizen but I made the case to the embassy that the POA was for my Italian attorney and the graciously bent the rules based in that criteria.
  6. Stop saying chai tea. It's like saying café coffee.
  7. The title of your post was a hoax also. You don't understand what words mean.
  8. Depends if the damage was caused by improper use. How deep inside you have you been shoving it?
  9. As someone who used to take down a lot of wallpaper I can tell you it comes down without destroying the wall only it was applied correctly including priming the walls beforehand. Every once in a while we would get a job where the hanger cut corners and we would be pulling off pieces the size of a thumbnail for days instead of pulling off whole sheets in seconds.
  10. How is it that everyone loved him until he went into politics? You've been brainwashed. If anyone is drinking Kool Aid it's you by the gallon.
  11. Shame you guys still base your opinions and worse yet your votes on personalities. Go ahead and tell me the US in great shape and you want more of the same. When the courts are used as a weapon against you, you won't be laughing. Not a Trump supporter but I know corruption when I see it.
  12. I renewed last week along with my Thai IDP. Not expired with Non O extension. Take the online DLT test and bring the QR code with you. Med cert. Immigration address cert which was free but took a week to issue and now required a TM30 in addition to PP face and visa/extension page copies. This is a Samui report only. Can't speak for everywhere. Can apply 90 Days before expiration or up to one year after. IDP is a separate transaction and not what the OP asked but for those interested it's a separate transaction. Requires the valid DL, another address cert and the same PP copies and since Samui does not process them and I didn't have the time it takes to process the request in Surat Thani I hired a DLT employee to handle that on the side. She also changed my MC green book from my old province to Surat. Yet another transaction that required two more address certs and could only be done in Surat and requires a three day stay which I can't do. Before anyone says "you don't need a Thai IDP", yes I do. My home DL is expired and I'm visiting a country soon that insists on a valid DL and IDP to rent anything. Bonus is that since my MC DL and Auto DL expire a year apart despite being issued a week apart I get to do it all over again next year. This party just gets better and better! Also I spoke to two different agents first, one of whom said the blue book could not be changed without an address cert on my old cancelled PP which is obviously impossible to get and the other said she would have to travel to my old province which is also obviously incorrect. Soup to nuts about 7 weeks to get it all done.
  13. Earplugs muffle noise they don't stop it and they actually increase the volume of your own breathing and blood flow. When my neighbors dog barks for 7 hours straight like all last night and then the home construction noise that's been going on for two years across the soi starts up at 7 no earplugs or headphones or closing the windows and curtains or anything else helps. A rifle might help.
  14. Did you know hearing is the only part of us that does not degrade with age. All hearing reduction and loss is caused by damage.
  15. I suspect your GF was doing the translating 🤔
  16. Authorities were alerted by locals who suspected something was wrong when they detected the far more pleasing aroma of a 5 day old corpse over the usual stench of the durian.
  17. Don't know how humidity knows whether a place is crap or not but you obviously don't but simple logic evades you I guess. Don't believe me. Google highest rainfall in Thailand. Then you can take the results and put them where the rain doesn't fall clown. If you don't know what the rainy season is like here you obviously haven't been here long enough to comment. Keep your newbie responses to your yourself.
  18. Bank accounts not so easy to get. If it was me I would keep it alive. No one knows what policies will come down next. You may be glad to have options. KTB insisted on opening a new account for me when I moved and told me to let the other die but I didn't. I use one for all my main banking and the other for my annual visa extension so the statement has only the most basic immigration deposit requirements and is only one.page long. They don't need to know about how I spend all my money.
  19. And the highest amount of annual rainfall of anywhere in Thailand. Six months of moldy damp clothes and bedding? I'll pass.
  20. I was approaching the check out counter in Big C once at about the sake time as a Thai woman. I graciously indicated that she should go ahead of me. Instead of just moving forward so I could fall in line behinds her, she pushed her cart Infront of me and started calling over several friends and waived them all ahead of her and in turn me. I laughed. Animals gonna be animals. Same happens every day at the vegetable weigh station in Makro when somehow the Thais never see my items on the counter when they put there things in front of mine. Most of the time I let it go but sometimes for fun I'll ask them in their native tongue when they lost their sight. Then the jaws all hit the floor. 😂
  21. Insanity! What does she think this is? Dubai?!
  22. Tell the bank you want to buy some accident insurance from them and then suddenly they can't wait to open a bank account for you. I wonder why that is 🤔.
  23. They don't use the QueQ app in Phuket yet? In Samui when I park my bike I open the app and schedule an immediate appointment and by the time I get up the stairs they call my number. Jumps me ahead of the 50 or so people waiting all day. Edit: I just checked for you. They have it. Thank me later and don't tell anyone. It's a secret.
  24. I little wire wrapped around those soft Thai gold clasps would solve most theft attempts.
  25. They gave COVID extensions for years no questions asked. Only people who take the rules seriously are held to extreme scrutiny. Backpackers, turd birds and skanks in bikinis at the Immigration office get free passes no questions asked.
