I know of an American guy in his 50s now who lived in Thailand for many years, shagged more than Hugh Hefner, and at some point realized that he was HIV positive, and this went on until around 2015 or so. Too many foreign visitors die untimely, "mysterious" deaths in Ko Tao and none of the cases are ever solved. The island is run by mafia and is basically ungovernable. Murder is OK there. The islands should be off-limits to tourists.
