My fridge is nicely stocked for the weekend!

I hope you will remove that ugly Energy Sticker, the yellow, green and red one, sometime during this long weekend. These are the ugliest stickers in the entire world. Aesthetically speaking, I am very surprised they are allowed in Thailand. Please remove it! -
My fridge is nicely stocked for the weekend!

I have about 40 x 1.5 liter bottles of water in my refrigerators. All that water adds thermal mass, and keeps the fridge temps very even. I buy 6 of those 20-liter water jugs from a delivery company. Then I fill up all 40 of the 1.5-liter bottles. And now I am ready for the long holiday. I do not add lemon to the water. Instead, I brew Chinese tea, and add ice to the tea, and then I can top up the ice-tea glasses with 0.5 degree C water from the fridge, as required. This is all that I will be consuming, in the way of beverage, this weekend. Just Chinese Tea from Sichuan, and Ice Water from the fridge. The water delivery company is a good one, too. -
Thailand affected by Microsoft cloud outage

This was NOT a prank This was both a bit of humor... And, this humor was humor with A BARB directed at the idiots at CrowdStrike who actually DID what this comedian only pretended to admit doing. He was saying, only, that the CrowdStrike guys are FOOLS for what they had done. -

Fortunately, no BSOD issue for me, today. Knock on wood... CrowdStrike's language is so very Orwellian. CrowdStrike Sucks the Big One. I will never use anything but Linux, ever again. -

Crowdstrike has struck! Never go with Microsoft products. Always choose LINUX, and preferably OpenSUSE, or SLE Suse. We ALL love OpenSource! -
Dear Folks, The answer is a resounding....YES! Especially from my cultural perspective. Yes, I do believe that Erin is one of the most attractive women alive today. For one thing, she is not too young for me. And, for another thing, she grew up in Maryland, which is not too far from The Main Line. And so, it's all about culture. I believe that our preferences for women, meaning the types of women we find super attractive, says more about us than it does about the women who turn us on. And so, what is the type of woman that you find most attractive? Unfortunately, I never found my Erin Burnett. I know that there is still time. But also, I realize that time is too short in this life. Best regards, Gamma

There is no single American culture. There are American cultures of different periods in American history. In addition, I have resided outside America for most of my life, and so the cultures that have shaped my preferences are not the same for those who have remained in the American culture of the 50s, as it has continued to evolve until present day.

In my view... Yes. But, Lauryn Hill is no comparison, and no competition for Chapman. No matter how you package it, Lauryn's music is still GHETTO GARBAGE RAP, and I will not tolerate it. Chapman is so much greater and far better. And, not a moment of the trashy origins that fuel Lauryn Hill, and her garbage rap.

As you seem to concur with me that music choice is very much cultural, and since culture is extremely important to me, I DO choose my friends, at least partially, based on music preferences. I also base my friends, very much, based on their being a product of certain cultures, rather than other cultures. I am not ashamed to admit it, because I think that most people do the same. For example, I prefer friends who enjoy classical music. But, I most prefer friends who most enjoy chamber music, and JS Bach solo cello. And, as I say, if they cannot appreciate Sarah Vaughan, then I will not associate with people of this nature. Culture is important. And, this is one reason why most of us from the west are usually unable to truly appreciate Indian films. And, since culture is important, and realizing that American culture has now changed so radically since 1979, this is the reason that I will never return the the America that has already been long lost. I would return to the USA of yesterday, but not the one of today. I am unable to live with aliens, due to the far divide between their culture and mine. America is now inhabited by aliens, and I do not mean immigrants, migrants, or those entering over borders, or swimming rivers.

I do keep freeze-dried coffee in the freezer. However, I touch it less and less frequently as I age. Tea seems to be a better beverage, and less windy. Although which choice is healthier is not easy to say. With coffee, just one strong cup, and the entire body smells of coffee. Even the resultant urine seems to exude a coffee-like aroma. And I think it is this phenomenon that I find most distasteful.

Dear Folks, So much of music appreciation is culturally based, and perhaps even related to one's intellect, that I do wonder how anyone could manage to be close friends with someone unable to appreciate BLACK COFFEE. Here is what I mean: During recent decades most of us have suffered under the deluge of Ghetto Rap Music flooding our world. Where did this Ghetto Black Music actually come from? The swamp? There was a time, not long ago, when Black Music was just about the only kind of jazz that I could listen to. And, I would not usually associate with, or befriend, those who were unable to appreciate black music. Even the Blues Brothers loved Black Music. But, I am not talking about the Blues Brother Type of Black Music. Because, the Black Music that was truly most special was the Black Music produced in the 30s, up until the 60s, and it had to be jazz, too. I could not be close friends with anyone unable to appreciate the beauty of Sarah's voice. And, these days, with the immense cultural shift that has happened in America during the past five decades, is the ability to appreciate Sarah's voice a lost art, and something not accessible to the youth of today? There is really no hope for Mankind, if this be true. Now, maybe, Back to listening to Sarah on my sound system, or.. I mean my computer with 11 speakers attached. Best regards, Gamma

This, IMHO, is both comparatively ineffective and unnecessary, compared to the use of an ear syringe and warm water. Also, the use of hydrogen peroxide in the ear canal is something that I would never try. Also, not necessary. If the ear syringe and warm water does not dislodge the impacted wax, then visit ENT doc at good hospital. No big deal. Also note that: If one uses cold water, the cold water can sometimes lead to vertigo due to the effect of the cold water on the inner ear (just my guess). Therefore, use lukewarm water, and all will come out well in the end.

aa. Let me qualify that by saying any doctor that one does not COMPLETELY TRUST. bb. As to a solution....without a doctor's visit.... What is required is just an ear syringe. These are available at most Thai pharmacies. cc. IMPORTANT NOTE.... NEVER insert the tip of this device INTO the ear canal...NEVER. Also, NEVER try to use this as a SUCTION DEVICE.....NEVER. Whoever wrote the headline for this ad was a NITWIT. dd. Use this device ONLY as it was designed and intended to be use. And, I am not going to explain the method of use here, since I am not a doctor, as some of you may or may not know. ee. But let me say this about that: 1. This is NOT a suction device. 2. The method is to draw up warm water, and flush the ear canal WITHOUT letting the tip of this ear syringe enter the ear canal. 3. There is a WikiHOW at this site, if you are interested... Go to this link, and then read on, if you wish... https://www.wikihow.com/Use-a-Bulb-Syringe Note: I would say that it's totally not necessary to buy/use some sort of wax softening solution, such as glycerin. Not only ineffective, but also unnecessary. Repeated use of warm water is all that is required. IF this method does not work, then it will be the time to pay a visit to an ENT Doc, in order to restore optimal hearing, and minimize problems due to complications from impacted wax in the ear canal. You an follow this method either solo, or it's more fun with a partner, I guess. Best regards, And wishing you all continued good health, Gamma

Nice pun, by the way.
