  1. why does the media, persist with inaccurate reporting, statistically there is very little difference in the number of accidents during songkran compared to the rest of the year, in fact the number occasionally goes down.
  2. been traveling the world for 30 years, never had this problem. a lesson; get organised, plan ahead. with all due respect, it's not difficult
  3. you can legally be without your passport, if, for example a consul has it to process a visa. however, you would be required to have the receipt.
  4. probably got fed up with all the ads taking over the screen. he's not alone.
  5. why are you even wasting time posting here??
  6. any issues such as this can be referred to the financial services ombudsman, so it would be that body.
  7. nope, the full policy document is always provided and it is the responsibility on the the insured to ensure they are buying appropriate cover. if you choose not to check your cover then you can't blame the insurer. caveat emptor. excluding motorcycle accident cover is common in travel insurance policies, for obvious reasons. if you require motorcycle cover then you can request a quote, though it is likely to be expensive, again, for obvious reasons.
  8. not just misleading, but a factually incorrect headline. no policy has been reversed. the change from 30 to 45 days was a temporary adjustment not a change in policy. accuracy please.
  9. would have been useful if the OP had added some value by including the donation website link... just sayin...
  10. tourists? sex tourists would be more accurate.
  11. after giving my email address to thai immigration i began getting a large amount of junk mail/spam, coincidence?
  12. jeez... just make a decision and name the date.
  13. don't see what change you're suggesting, it was one person not paying attention. not that i'm saying thai roads are safe...
  14. interesting they had joint bank accounts most married thais maintain individual bank accounts. but well done him, tbh that's what i'd do.
  15. tragic accidents, but daft comment, people commit illegal acts all the time, for starters; have you ever driven over the speed limit? just saying...
  16. not really clear, are they suggesting arrive more than 3 hours before flight departure? if so, how long before? tbh it's time they sorted out security, it's way behind other countries. i have passed through with no checks on electrical equipment, not ever required to remove from luggage, no checks on liquids - shouldn't really complain as it makes it easier for passengers - but are they putting our safety at risk?
  17. as they can provide too much energy... agreed, how thais maintain their extra slow walking pace and sleeping while at work if they have too much energy...?!
  18. not a fair comparison. but generally speaking , many owners of electrical goods, be it phones or scooters, often seem to think they have an entitlement to take others' electricity for free.
  19. i guess they don't have the green cross code man in thailand; look right, look left, look right again...
  20. why single out thailand, every country's culture evolves and changes
