Jonny,
When you assert I share the belief system of the Met you need to do two things.
1. Provide evidence the belief system exists and is that of the Met.
2. Provide evidence that I share that same belief system.
You have done neither, so forgive me for concluding you were simply making a baseless personal attack.
The police have very rightly apologized.
But they have not apologized for the incident you fabricated:
Even the Met police will move you on if you refuse to hide your "Jewishness".
Nobody was moved on for ‘refusing to hide their Jewishness’.
…
The response to this ought not to be another personal attack.
And todays word of the day is.........fabricated.
You are not the victim here......the lone Jew is!

He was threatened with arrest to protect him from an angry crowd. In an ideal world, they'd have enough police there to escort him and even arrest the entire crowd if they threatened him. But this is real life.
He had every right to be there. But there weren't enough cops, and they may have saved his life. The only thing I'd fault is the language that may have been used. But emotions run high and cops are human.
Correct, but why wasn't there enough cops there, surely the fault lies with the police and specifically Sir Mark Rowley, let's not blame one solitary Jew for the inactions of a police force that is as much use as a chocolate fireguard!

The Met have not apologized for the caution given to the activist that he would be arrested if he did not follow the officer’s instructions.
The Met have very rightly apologised for the language used by the officer to describe the activist who was receiving the caution.
Stop peeing down my leg and tell me it's raining, you are in no position to make any judgement when you refuse to watch the video.
He was threatened with arrest because he was a Jew, the officer made a poor attempt at policing!

Again your arrogance leads you to patronise me. The Metropolitan Police have already apologised for that officers insensitive and unacceptable behavior and if you cannot accept the truth there is nobody on here that can help you!
What is wrong with you!

How is it a crime? The Policeman didn't say it was. Where are you getting this from? It isn't in the article.
The Police officer said he would arrest him to prevent a breach of the peace, not because he was Jewish.
What breach of the peace was he committing apart from openly being Jewish.

It's not nonsense at all. Why not look up what breach of the peace is? It sounds like a little research would help you out.
And a little less at being pompous would pay dividends to your cause, does your opinion only count. The police officer quite categorically stated he was openly Jewish, now is that a crime in the UK at the time of my post. The man did nothing wrong, you are confusing an unruly crowd with a peaceful citizen!

Same difference, the breach of the peace your refer to is nonsense, how can you breach the peace by not breaking any laws. The people that were a threat were the hate marchers!

I looked at what was said, that's why what I said is correct.
He was threatened with arrest for openly being Jewish!

Hyperbole is my word of the day because there’s a lot of it about.
Your leap to the Star of David was an example.
The Police Officer was clearly concerned for the safety and well being of the activist.
The activist is unharmed, safe and well; I believe that’s a good thing.
His (the officer) wording would render your excuse invalid!

That doesn't even make sense. Arrest to prevent a breach of the peace, not for being Jewish.
It's excruciatingly clear that you don't. 🙄
Here we go when the argument is lost you revert to insults, try looking at what was actually said before you insult other posters.

More hyperbole.Cautioning an individual, regardless of their race/religion that they will be arrested if they do not obey a lawful police instruction is not a threat.
It’s a caution, a reasonable use of authority to get the individual to obey the lawful instruction before an arrest is necessary.
Other hyperbole ignored.
Hyperbole is your word of the day and it will not work as your get out of jail for free card I'm afraid. Saying to a Jew you are openly Jewish is antisemitic how ever you care address this issue!

The Police officer was concerned there would be a breach of the peace, and threatened arrest for this reason, not because the person was Jewish.
I've already explained why this isn't true. 🤷♂️
A breach of the peace for being Jewish, we hear you!

Who knows? He clearly wasn't threated with arrest for being Jewish, though.
Why was a person going about his daily life be threatened by the once trusted Met Police with the sergeant openly stating you are obviously Jewish, is it a crime now, would you like all Jews to wear the star of David so that they are instantly recognisable, do you not fear that this road has been trodden before and we shouldn't repeat mistakes from the past!

Oh no, it isn't an insult. If you can't read (and understand) that this thread is about Gaza....what can I do more than pity you only. It's not my fault. But look, if you're happy with yourself it would give me a very relaxed feeling. Enjoy the weekend. And be careful.....there are always those terrible Muslims around.... apparently. 😂😂😂

Do not ever pity me, you are the one that hasn't a clue about facts, but when it comes to insults you're not really good at that either. 😂😂😂

Just now, BangkokReady said:That isn't what happened at all. They said that they thought his presence was antagonising the crowd. Whether you think it's morally right or not, the Police have the power to arrest someone to prevent a breach of the peace.
Maybe he was wearing his kippah at a jaunty angle which as anyone knows will antagonise even the most moderate of antisemitics. 🥴🥴

You missed the massacre, murdering 30.000 of innocent women and children in Gaza?? 😳
And your point is meaningless, there are still Hamas terrorists to be despatched or captured, there are hostages to retrieve and more to the point you are parroting the figures of the lying terrorists themselves.
You might want to conveniently forget 7/10 but it will never be forgotten by the families and people who choose not to excuse these phycopathic monsters.

Nonsense, Iran has no desire to use nuclear weapons.
They have them in defence as there are countries in the world that want their oil and have attacked their neighbours for theirs unjustly quite recently. Americans. like you conveniently forget the unjust war and slaughter of 100's of thousands of innocent people in Iraq.
Just in case I wouldn't rule out building a nuclear bunker.
"Americans like you" disgusting comment!

But there were Jews walking peacefully within the Protest March.
Maybe a bit of hyperbole on your part.
Nothing hyperbole on my part, just you making up excuses again. If a man cannot be safe walking near a demonstration the problem lies with the marches and not the peaceful man. Why can't you see this?
