Democrats Rally Behind Biden Amid Report on Age Concerns
HappyExpat57 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Well, it wasn't professional. It was obviously done with a Republican slant, not objective at all, similar to the James Comey report that ultimately sunk Hillary. Hur's only mistake was coming out with this report now instead of holding onto it until about a month before the general election. -
Biden: "I am an elderly man ... I know what the hell I'm doing"

I believe both red and blue fan boys are hanging their heads sheepishly having absolutely NOTHING to crow about. -
Biden: "I am an elderly man ... I know what the hell I'm doing"

At first I thought that was a misunderstanding on my part. Joe's cheese has almost completely slid off his cracker. It would be entertaining to watch the talking heads peeing themselves frantically every day trying to defend Joe if the real life repercussions weren't so drastic. Either way, the outcome of the 2024 election will not be good for the US. -
Biden: "I am an elderly man ... I know what the hell I'm doing"

Biden himself said he would be a one-term president and that his only purpose in the 2020 election was to defeat the contemptable scam artist of an opponent. Add to that your spot on observation of Kamala getting carpenters ready to widen the chair behind the resolute desk to accommodate her burgeoning buttocks and you have a clear recipe for disaster. I know too many younger people who are gonna vote for an Independent or write in "Deez Nutz" rather than vote for either of the two front running losers. And you hear this all over the world: "Is that the BEST the US can do?" -
If you've never been a teacher then you don't understand the need for these breaks. Teaching isn't just "15-20 hours per week" (if you're a conscientious teacher). I have three weeks left before our summer break and I really need it! Any time off we get, we use to improve our lessons and look for new ways to get through to the little monkeys in our charge. As well, it takes a LOT of energy to deal with the them on a daily basis. There is almost always some emergency, some tempest in a teapot, some distraction from the flow of the lesson. Don't get me wrong, I love it. It's the only reason I do it. I have a pension and real estate investments, I don't need the cash flow and actually return about one third of my annual school salary buying supplies, infrastructure improvements to the school, and so on. But for you to say it's not a hard life shows a gross misunderstanding of the actual circumstances.

This works on your pc: WinX Youtube downloader is free and works like a champ. I use a combo of Adblock and Adblock Plus and have no ads any more. It's a high pressure campaign by Youtube for folks to pay for their Premium, perfectly their right to do so. Lately Youtube sporadically blocks your video when it detects an adblocker. I then switch over to the Brave browser which has a built-in adblocker Youtube does not detect.

One year I saw some d-bags throwing buckets of ice water at motorcyclists as they were exiting Motorway 7. Beggars belief! -

"Ancient dinosaur fossils" as opposed to fresh dinosaur fossils? -
Washington State stops selling at 2:00 a.m. Years ago I was playing regularly in a band, and we would make a mad dash to get to the store as we finished playing at 1:30, giving us 30 minutes to turn off our equipment and get to the closest store to beer up. Being young and not too bright (as opposed to now being old and not too bright) the thought never occurred to us to stock up the fridge BEFORE the gig. City of Bremerton, R&H Market, was one of the busiest places on earth between 1:30 and 2:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays (or technically Sat & Sun).

I renewed my US passport a few months ago. As soon as it arrived, I just took the new one and the old one to immigration. I handed them to the officer who knew immediately what I needed. I sat down and 5 or 10 minutes later they handed them both back with all the stamps transferred. SHAME on whoever ripped you off for such a "service" and I hope they at least offered you a reach around.

Biden Widens Lead over Trump in New Poll, Gender Gap Widens
HappyExpat57 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
What you describe was not what the polls were predicting back then, again right up to election night. I can't remember exact numbers but the prognostications weren't even close. Hilldog was supposed to win in a landslide -

The polls had Hillary beating orange jeezuz up until the actual vote. Polls are WORSE than worthless.
